City of Birmingham Permitting

The City of Birmingham Department of Planning, Engineering & Permits handles the majority of permits for the City.  We are currently in the middle of moving away from our long-term permitting system to our new Online Permit Center. Once this is complete, all permits will be handled through the Online Permit Center, which allows you to apply, pay, and manage your permits online.

We are also pleased announce the launch of our new interactive City of Birmingham Permit Guide.  This guide will ask you a series of questions and guide you through the permit process.
