Quince is one of those direct-to-consumer brands that feels everywhere all at once (thanks to countless social ad campaigns and podcast nods over the years)—but if you’re unfamiliar, we’re here to report that the hype is very real. The San Francisco retailer has cornered the affordable luxury market with its high-quality, low-cost assortment of goods, making the kind of Mongolian cashmere crewneck sweaters and cozy quilts that you can layer on while you marathon a Netflix show—without spending a fortune in the process.
Quince’s business model cuts out traditional middlemen like distributors to offer these high-quality materials like cashmere and silk at budget-friendly, accessible prices. We also appreciate that the brand focuses on sustainability by prioritizing quality materials like organic cotton and maintaining fair production practices.
Though they’re more closely associated with fashion apparel, Quince’s home category doesn’t get enough love. Our editors regularly keep their sleep collections in rotation, especially the quilted blankets and plush duvet inserts during winter months, though the entire collection spans bath towels, bed sheets, duvet covers, and loungewear, along with giftable sets.
Below, we culled an assortment of our favorite tried-and-tested home items from the brand. Everything has been tested for quality over time, along with durability post-laundering to note any pilling or degradation over time. Without further ado, our favorite Quince home essentials.
Our Top Picks for the Best Quince Products
For consistency, all bedding prices listed reflect queen sizes, but different sizes are available for purchase from the brand.
Sheet Sets
Quince sheets are one of our favorite editor-approved items, from warm, lived-in linen to silky, cooling bamboo.
These silky sheets marry a polished design with a luxurious handfeel. “Breathable bedding is a must for my sleep setup, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well I sleep through the night with the Quince bamboo sheet set,” says senior commerce editor Nashia Baker. “They feel smooth and cool to the touch but still comfortable enough to bundle up with during the winter months.” Baker appreciates that they come in darker hues such as Charcoal and Nightfall, but leans towards colorways like bronzy Clay and Terracotta to give her bedroom a desert aesthetic. Another perk? The viscose linens have a nice drape that mirrors the look of silk and satin sheets.
Baker has had her sheet set for over six months and noticed that some of her hair products leave residue on the pillowcases, even after running them through the wash. If you use oil-based beauty products, you might want to opt for a different pillowcase. However, the bedding itself has held up well without any fraying threads or color fading. All of her guests who’ve slept on them say the sheets are supple and keep them from overheating. At first glance, one person questioned if the bedding was made of silk and felt even more convinced after resting on them. The best part is that they keep the same luster as silk without the maintenance (Baker tosses them in the dryer after a wash with no problem).
If you’re in search of sheets that strike the perfect balance between crisp and soft, Quince’s percale set is for you. “I’ve tried many percale styles over the years, and I find that this one skews a bit softer than most, which I’m totally happy about,” says AD PRO senior editor Mel Studach. “I also appreciate that when I make my bed every morning, the sheets maintain their structure sans unsightly wrinkles.” Made of 100% cotton, they are just as breathable as they are smooth in texture for a comfortable night’s sleep. This style also comes in Oxford stripe and gingham patterns.
Both Baker and contributor Erika Owen own and love Quince’s linen sheets, which come in an impressive range of prints and earth tones to fit any bedroom aesthetic. Owen says her sage set is “deliciously subtle and seems to match with everything.” Not to mention, these sheets have a slightly wrinkled appearance to give your bedding a natural, lived-in look. We also want to note that these are one of the more affordable options on our list at $170 for a queen-size set (and who doesn’t sleep better knowing they got a great deal?). “While my bedroom style can vary, I’ve been inspired by a Mediterranean-meets-minimalist aesthetic these days—which is exactly why Quince’s linen bedding has been a mainstay on my mattress,” Baker says. “I love its airy nature along with the gorgeous Bordeaux color on my bed that complements the rest of my decor.”
Bed Covers
No matter the season, Quince has you covered. Keep scrolling for our favorite duvet covers, quilts, and coverlets that will keep you comfortable and complement your bedroom’s design.
Several of our editors own a Quince linen duvet cover because they feel high-end but not stuffy or stiff. Contributor Elise Portale notes that the European flax linen is “soft and comfy” to snuggle with at night. Plus, she says her duvet has remained in great shape, without looking worn or run-down, after several seasons of use.
Commerce writer Julia Harrison points out that her duvet cover felt a little scratchy at first, but noticed it got considerably softer after a couple months’ worth of washes and use. “It staves off wrinkles fairly well, keeps me warm but not sweaty, and it took me about two years of wear and tear before I found a little hole in it,” she says. “The color itself is a really welcome ivory—not too yellow, not too blue, and not starch white, either. I think it's a totally practical linen option, if not the most luxe on the market.”
This editor-favorite blanket is just what you need for a cozy yet expensive-looking bed cover in the winter months. “The cotton outer layer is incredibly soft to the touch and the warm Terracotta hue makes my bed look super inviting,” says commerce editor Audrey Lee. For those with a more subdued palette, we’d recommend The delicate mauve Fig and soothing Fog Grey options.
After almost two years of use, Lee says the quilt has been a trusted staple to keep bedside when the temperatures drop. “The burnt orange hue hasn't faded over time and I haven't noticed any pilling, which is something that can happen with this type of cotton material,” she adds.
If you want the design appeal of a quilt and the feel of a comforter, opt for this all-season pick. Contributor Megan Wahn said she never wanted to “leave the embrace of this quilt,” thanks to its lofty polyester fill that made it great to curl up under. Color options range from Dusty Blue to Indigo Blue, Soft Blush to Bordeaux, and plenty of earthy tones in between.
Comforters and Bed Accessories
AD-favorite bed accessories run the gamut from throw blankets to duvet inserts. Thankfully Quince has the above—plus, pillows—that are cozy and versatile for daily use.
Goose down is typically the fill of choice for pillows stocked by high-end boutique hotels, and digital features editor Katherine McLaughlin notes that Quince’s goose down option is second to none when it comes to soft fill. It comes in three densities from soft/medium to firm/extra firm, all made with 700-fill power premium down. As a side-sleeper, McLaughlin is especially a fan of the pillow’s flexibility. “I basically fold it in half to add to the density of the pillow,” she says.
Associate commerce director Lori Keong favors down alternative picks because they tend to feel firmer and squishier than down, with enough buoyancy to prop up your head and shoulders as you snooze. Quince’s premium down alternative pillow, which comes in three densities depending on how firm support you need, felt just right in its “firm” setting. “The polyester fill is firm enough to prop my head up without me sinking into its depths, but still has some squishy give (see the video!) so it doesn’t feel like I’m laying on the floor,” noted Keong. The shredded fill gives it a certain breathability that, combined with the cotton sateen shell, ensure that you don’t wake up overheating.
Whether used as a comforter or duvet insert, this all-season down material comes at a price point that is “incredible for such high-quality bedding,” says Zoë Sessums, contributor. She has used this Quince duvet insert for over four years and loves it for its warmth and coziness. To remove stains, Sessums recommends rigorous spot cleaning. Another editor-approved tip: Place it outside on a clothesline to air out and fluff up the white down filling.
Bath Essentials
Don’t let your bed have all the fun. Take a peek at our favorite Quince essentials from the bath category.
A classic bath mat bundle, this pair is made of Turkish cotton that Baker says quickly absorbs water after stepping out of the shower. After moving to a new place with a larger bathroom, she says these mats have been helpful to line both her bathtub and sink. But even if you have a smaller bathroom, she says the set is worth it. “I liked having one clean mat on deck to instantly swap whenever the other needed a wash,” Baker says. She does say that these don’t have the typical rubber backing you’ll find in a standard bath mat so they do shift a bit when stepping on them.
“Super soft and absorbent, Quince’s classic bath towel bundle has quickly become a favorite for my self-care routine,” says Baker. “Each one is surprisingly lightweight for how plush the material feels.” Unlike your average bath towel that can get soggy after use, this one actually soaks up water without weighing it down. After several months, the quality is still top-notch. In fact, they’ve only gotten softer with each wash. Baker does recommend using a gentle detergent, though, to prevent any discoloration. Overall, she recommends this set to anyone who wants high-end, hotel-quality towels for their home. While the standard size (30"x 56") is low in stock, you can shop the sheet bundle (40" x 70") of the same material in a slightly larger size.
Loungewear
While Quince brand sells plenty of Italian leather jackets, silk blouses, and the like, don’t overlook its loungewear. Its pajama tops are made of the same high-quality materials (Tencel, silk satin, linen) and some of its loungewear even doubles as streetwear.
Lee also tells us this cashmere quarter zip from the brand looks like it could cost double its price tag. Precisely why she named it as one of her favorite holiday gift options for anyone on your list. “The jewel tone-enthusiast in me is drawn to burgundy and storm blue, but truffle brown and ivory are great gift ideas for minimalists, and classic additions to any wardrobe,” she says.
The faux mock neck appearance when the sweater’s zipped up gives it a little something extra. “It’s especially nice when I’m lounging around the house or have company over and still want to feel slightly put together,” Lee adds.
Another A+ gift idea, Quince’s silk eye mask is, in our opinion, one of the best deals you’ll find out there for a product that feels lavish. Next time you’re on the lookout for actually nice party favors or building a personalized gift basket for a loved one, we highly recommend adding a few of these to your cart. The accessory is even a staple in Baker’s regular sleep routine. “This soft sleep mask is like a mini down pillow just for my eyes,” she says. “It rests ever-so gently and filters out light in my sunny bedroom when sleeping in is the only thing on my mind.”
“Slipping on the knitted silhouette makes even the dreariest days feel heavenly,” says Lee. She tested Quince’s cashmere robe in a variety of settings—during the work day, while binge-watching Netflix, even cleaning the house—and the high-end material was just as cozy after hours of wear. “Like most cashmere, you’re likely going to face some pilling, but it’s nothing that a sweater shaver or a good sweater brush can’t handle,” she says. When it’s time for a wash, Lee notes that mild or cashmere detergent and a delicate cycle is key, having owned a ton of cashmere from Quince that holds up nicely, even after multiple washes.
Decor
Upgrade other parts of your home just in time for the holidays with the brand’s festive decor.
Quince’s take on a spruce employs an interesting branch design: The back end of each limb features bushier evergreen bunches while the front-portion presents tips that look more realistic. This clever system actually makes the tree look more lush from within while still maintaining the appearance of something lifelike on the surface—precisely why we designated it one of the best artificial trees you can buy (fun fact: It’s even the main image of our story). Commerce market editor Kate McGregor noted in her review that the tree did give off a fuller look, and was especially handsome once decked out with a merrily maximalist slate of ornaments from some of our favorite holiday hubs. Just be mindful that the more realistic branch segments can leave a semi-sticky residue on your hands (an issue you’d have with a real tree too, we might add).
