StarHub Broadband with a Smart WiFi or Smart WiFi Pro router or a wired connection to Linksys EA8100/EA7500 router are required to access Free-to-air channels.
NOTE:
- Netflix in 4K is only available on Netflix Premium Plan.
- A rental fee of $5.90/month will be charged for the StarHub TV+ box and $14.90/month for the TV+ Pro.
- StarHub Broadband with a StarHub Smart WiFi (Nokia WiFi Beacon 1) or a wired connection to Linksys EA8100/EA7500 router are required to access Free-to-air channels on your StarHub TV+ box.
- For TV+ Pro users, enjoy your free-to-air content via meWATCH app.
How to enjoy Free-to-air channels on StarHub TV+ box
Set-up using Smart WiFi
Connect your StarHub TV+ box to your StarHub Smart WiFi router using the Ethernet cable, or via wireless connection. A StarHub Broadband connection is required.
Step 1: First, connect the Ethernet cable to your TV+ box. You can also connect via WiFi at a later step.
Step 2: Turn on TV+ box and TV, and select the corresponding HDMI output 1/2/3 depending on the port.
Step 3: Your connection should look like this for you to watch Free-to-air or cross-carriage channels.
Set-up using Linksys router
Alternatively connect your StarHub TV+ Box to your existing Linksys Router via an Ethernet cable directly. A StarHub Broadband connection is required.
Step 1: Connect the TV+ box to your router following the diagram below:
* This ethernet cable can be reused from the cable disconnected from your Fibre TV Set-Top-box.
Step 1A: Please ensure that the router firmware is up-to-date.
To update the router firmware: Use a laptop or desktop computer and launch a web browser. Enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
Under the “Access Router” field, enter the password and click Sign In. If you have not changed the password, the default password is “admin”.
From the left menu, select “Connectivity”.

a. Under “Router Firmware Update” field, select “Automatic”.
b. Under “Time Zone” field, select “(GMT+08:00) Singapore, Taiwan, Russia”.
c. Click “Check for Updates” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the upgrade.
Step 2: Turn on TV+ box and TV, and select the corresponding HDMI output 1/2/3 depending on the port. Please use the HDMI cable provided with your StarHub TV+ box.
Step 3: Your connection should look like this for you to watch Free-to-air or cross-carriage channels. For customers with 2Gbps Broadband, to enjoy Free-to-air or cross-carriage channels, StarHub Smart WiFi / Linksys EA7500 / Linksys EA8100 router must be connected to Port 1 of the Optical Network Terminal.
