Hi everyone.
Let me first apologise for not posting here sooner. I've spent the past two weeks coming up to speed with everything Codemasters. After speaking with the relevant parties, I regret to inform you that there are no plans to release any updates, patches or additional format launches for SWOS in the immediate future. It might not be the kind of news you wanted to hear but rather than keep you waiting, we wanted to be transparent and tell you our position right now. You can never rule out any future projects or plans for the franchise and if that should happen, you will be amongst the first to know. We would like to thank you for your support and feedback you have shown to SWOS over the years. |

I knew it thanks for nothing.
took the money and run. released a bug ridden port and ruined a classic. Tell us whats happening now, yer thats probabley because ever one is slagging the company off and you have a few new releases this week to try and get sales for. So you got to try and make your self's look good, well you failed. I hope every new game you have due out fails. Fall of liberty is the biggest turd i've ever played. matter of fact do us a big favour and sell the rights to all of the senisble games, so you don't ruin any more of them. Your a joke of company, to think i used to love your games back in the day of magic land dizzy, tresure island dizzy, back then you actually made games and cared about the people that bought them made sure that the finished product was of good quality. I had hours of fun on your older games, yes they may have been budjet titles compared to some of US GOLDs, Oceans, TEAM 17's titles, but a lot of them where more fun to people. I completed every single Dizzy game and then went back for some more. But in the present your nothing more than a poor mans version of EA, releasing unfinished, badley ported games. Look at your recent FPS jericho and FOL, you can't even make a pc version you have to port the 360 version to the pc, and completeley **** it up. The AI in FOL is a joke and I mean a joke. You take senisbles softwares biggest game, make a complete joke of a game and call it SS06, don't support it but just take the money. Then you do the same with the classic version on XBLA. Take the money and run for the hills. The fan base of sensi are not happy with this version, there are to many bugs in it. Did you even beta test it ??? The online code is shocking, disconnects, lag, the game runs out of sync and one player will be choosing his side, while on the other persons, the game hasn't even moved from the set up game screen. Then theres the heading and tackling bug, that even jon hare knows about and has asked you to fix, but i guess where not good enough and even jon hare him self is not good enough for you. So it proves to me that all you are interested in is the money, not the fan base, just screw them and will make a half baked version and they'll still buy it. Due to this you can shove racer driver:grid, FOL, jericho and any other new titles you have up your ****ing hoops. Tell you want, just let EA buy you out, though I hate them they'd probabley do a better job at it. Last edited by Big Guino : 03-12-2008 at 07:39 AM. |

I think we should all post our thoughts in here, then they can see how many disapointed fans there are by this news - Not that they relly care.
You have missed a great opportunity here codemasters, because people have been going out getting Xbox's just for this and fixing the game and releasing a simple data update every season at say 5 - would have earned thousands every year for very little work. Your a typical game producer: lazy, selfish, moneygrabbing and decietful (how many people would have bought SWOS if you announced the online bugs when you released it?!)

I can make only one conclusion from this statement.
Our presence here is annoying. I would translate this statement as "Get out of here and let us continue selling unsupported products". I'm sad Codemasters follow this tactic of not supporting their games because they make good games and with some patches these games would become perfect. Unless some very impressive game is released from Codemasters, i will keep up buying VALVE Games. At least they release some patches to fix some issues. BB Codemasters. RIP SWOS. Sensible Software should never sell their rights to this company. It seems money were more important than fame, although i disagree with that. Maybe that's the reason i will never be rich ![]() |

Release the source code... Codemasters have squeezed out every penny from the Sensi / SWOS brand. Face it, you've lost the customers' trust.
Releasing the source code to the public is the only way. Fans have kept the game alive without any new version, and you've did a lot to bury it WITH releasing Sensi 2006 and SWOS XBLA. Redhair suggested to sell the rights to another company... but to be honest, which quality company would buy them after the damage Codemasters did to the brand?

Hang on, hang on.
There are bugs in the XBLA Swos... And i'm not just talking about the issues derived from the lag issues (Headers, tackles). I mean real bugs. They have been discussed pleanty of times on this forum. Surely you are obliged to fix holes in the product? I can well understand your reluctance to address the header/tackle problem, as that could be a lengthy and complicated task for an issue which is intermittant. To announce that their are no plans for the PC version, or to even fix the XBLA version is terrible. The statement is easily translated as "We haven't made much money off SWOS. We thought it'd be a good idea, might have been a moneyspinner, but it wasn't. Lets just close the SWOS chapter.". Please, please sell the SWOS name to a small software house that would put the time and effort in where you have failed.... Please.
