Nina Raphael shared thisThe battleground is no longer just apps and websites — it’s the moments where decisions happen. Embedding mortgage guidance into ChatGPT shifts banking into those moments in a much more natural, conversational way. This is about more than channel innovation. It’s about redefining distribution, rethinking customer engagement, and building trust in AI-led experiences at scale. Early moves like this will shape customer expectations quickly. Congratulations Scott Marcar and team - another UK banking first for NatWest GroupNina Raphael shared thisThis is a big moment – we’re the first UK bank to launch functionality directly in ChatGPT. Anyone using ChatGPT can access tailored home-buying and re-mortgage guidance without having to leave the platform. Users can tag NatWest in their home-buying questions and do things like explore mortgage options, understand affordability and see tailored rates through real-time NatWest information. Why does it matter? Technology is changing how people bank, and we’ve got a vital role to play in shaping new experiences. This launch is about meeting people where they are with trusted information to help them make informed decisions. Last year we became the first UK bank to sign a strategic partnership with OpenAI – accessing the latest tech and the ability to deploy AI tools faster to meet our customers' changing needs. This is just the start. We’ll use learnings from this launch to continue developing more efficient and responsible services. Well done to all the teams involved so far. Great to see this live! Nina Raphael shared thisFor years, banks innovated around the core. That’s no longer viable. Across Europe and EMEA, AI and real-time expectations are exposing the limits of legacy architecture. The next wave of winners will be those who rebuild—not just layer—turning technology into a true driver of growth.Nina Raphael shared thisIn Europe and across EMEA, the conversation about banking technology has flipped. For too long, tech sat in the back office while new features were layered on old cores, creating unsustainable debt. Now, with AI compressing build cycles and customer expectations moving to real time conversational experiences, banks must close the gap between ambition and capability. This isn’t an efficiency fix; it’s a growth agenda. Our latest Banking Trends shows what’s next: convert tech debt into digital capital by modernizing to open, modular architectures, scaling (agentic) AI, and designing resilience and compliance into the core. That’s how we accelerate innovation and strengthen trust. The context matters. From the EU’s sovereignty ambitions and the AI regulatory path to real time payments and cross border rails, Europe’s competitiveness will be shaped by how boldly we reinvent the digital core and how we partner across ecosystems to create value at speed. We call this Unconstrained Banking; an era where technology fuels ambition. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/dQts7BFk

Nina Raphael shared thisLast night, I had my first ever experience at the British Diversity Awards – still in its infancy at just five years old, yet boasting the greatest density of inspiring people I’ve ever seen at an awards dinner including the incredible Linda Riley. It truly proved that Inclusion & Diversity is thriving in the UK. Accenture UK & Ireland was nominated for three incredible awards : Outstanding Women’s Network of the Year, Social Mobility Initiative of the Year, and Inspirational Role Model of the Year. Just being shortlisted on such a prestigious stage felt like a win, but the evening became truly special when we took home the Social Mobility Initiative of the Year award alongside the remarkable Lisa💫 Goodchild. The night was deeply personal – Inclusion & Diversity has never been about policy, compliance, or optics, but about genuine outcomes. As June Sarpong OBE so eloquently put it, the world hasn’t fundamentally changed, so demographic and economic factors tell us that inclusion must matter. When we’re genuinely included, society flourishes. For everyone who was there last night, committed to advancing this crucial work - clients, ecosystem partners, charities, and non-profits thank you. Inclusion & Diversity isn’t a topic to compete on; it’s something we strive to collaborate on, effecting real and lasting change. Nina Raphael reposted thisNina Raphael reposted thisWe won a British Diversity Awards last night. A big thank you to the team… and founder /legend Linda Riley (birthday twin😉) And before I say anything else, I want to say this: none of it, not a single moment, happens without people. People who open doors before you even know the door exists. People who believe in you harder than you believe in yourself. June Sarpong OBE you are one of those people for me. You saw something in me long before I could see it clearly. That kind of belief changes you. It changes what you dare to try. Dr Vanessa Vallely OBE , you were a major part of this journey and I want the world to know it. Thank you. And to Accenture UK & Ireland , brands showing up truly matters. This would not have happened without the OGs Alex Jonas MCIBS and Georgina Snape Rachna Sundaram-Sennett digilearning and Accenture built Social Mobility Month together. You gave me the support, the structure, and the stage to make it real. That partnership is proof of what happens when business puts purpose first. There is a lot of negative noise out there right now. A lot of closed doors. A lot of no. But last night proved something: no ain’t stopping us. We fight for what is right. We take our seat at the table and when they don’t give us one, we build our own. To everyone who has walked alongside me on this road, you know who you are. I am deeply, genuinely blessed. This is for every young person digilearning exists to serve. We see you. We are not stopping. ❤️ Thank you LSEG and Erica Bourne 🥰 So many names to remember… this is our village 🫶 sorry if forgot you Rebecca Ziantoni Iqra Iqbal Nina Raphael Andrew Finlayson Krusha Vekaria Thomas Hammond James R Walkling Andy Saunders Thanks Shelley Bishton for the vid and always cheering me on. Nina Raphael shared thisI come from a family where my mother attended university but didn't complete her final year, as getting married was considered more important. I attended an all-girls state school where few had links to the corporate world, and through opportunity, support, and determination many of us have built careers in demanding industries. Early on, I decided I would give back—not out of obligation, but because I know how much this would have meant to me. My journey has been shaped by people who gave: those who offered opportunities, encouragement, and belief when it mattered most. This is why I’m deeply passionate about championing inclusion and diversity, supporting all women, women in tech and promoting greater social mobility so that talent, wherever it comes from, has the chance to thrive. Progress doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s when we actively lift each other up, and also when our male allies stand alongside us, that real change occurs. Everyone has a role in advocating, sponsoring, and opening doors. As a mother raising three boys, I think about this daily. I want them to grow up not only respecting women but also actively advocating for them, understanding that equality benefits everyone. “Give to Gain” is a simple but powerful idea. When we offer opportunities, trust, and support to talented women from all backgrounds, we all benefit—gaining better ideas, stronger organisations, and a fairer society. Supporting women is not just a professional commitment for me; it’s deeply personal. Each door we open today creates possibilities for the next generation tomorrow. #IW626 #GiveToGain #WomenInTech #Inclusion #SocialMobility

Being admired isn’t about standing still. It’s about earning trust every day, staying relentlessly client-focused, and building an organization that learns, adapts, and leads as technology reshapes how work gets done. Thank you to our reinventors around the world who continue to raise the bar, and to our clients and partners who challenge us to be better. The work of reinvention never stops, and neither do we.

Nina Raphael shared thisAI hype is fading. The gap between banks is not. Over the past year, I’ve seen financial services move decisively beyond pilots and proofs of concept. The leaders are now scaling agentic AI into core processes and the results are real. What’s different this time isn’t just better technology. It’s a shift in how work gets done. Individuals are beginning to lead teams of AI co-workers, delivering materially more impact without being constrained by headcount. Engineering, KYC, claims and service operations are being re-designed end-to-end with humans firmly in control. The distance between those scaling for value and those still experimenting is widening fast. By 2026, that gap will be structural. The real question for banking leaders isn’t if AI will transform your organisation — it’s whether you’re leading that change, or reacting to it. If you’re exploring how to reinvent work in a way that is both human-centered and AI-powered then this blog is for you! #Banking #AgenticAI #AI #Leadership #TransformationNina Raphael shared thisI’ve just posted the first part of a new five-part blog series on the future of Work and Talent in financial services. These blogs explore how agentic AI is reshaping the workforce and value across our industry. This follows our recent Banking Trends report, which showed how agentic AI is shattering traditional capacity barriers to growth and transformation. These blogs go deeper with real world examples from across banking (... and insurance, wealth, capital markets, tech, HR, risk, marketing and other examples too - no one is left out!). If you’re exploring how to reinvent work in a way that is both human-centered and AI-powered, I hope this is a helpful read. Please message me if you'd like to chat through further. Nina Raphael liked thisNina Raphael liked thisBig news 📢 NatWest has become the first UK bank to launch in ChatGPT. This means anyone using ChatGPT can tag the bank in a query to receive NatWest specific home-buying and re-mortgaging guidance without having to leave ChatGPT. This includes exploring mortgage options, understanding affordability, and receiving tailored rates. ChatGPT users will then be signposted to NatWest-owned channels to take the next steps, where specialist advice, colleague support and mortgage applications are available. This service is part of our strategic partnership with OpenAI, announced last year to enable faster innovation through direct and early access to OpenAI’s latest models, and another example of how we’re harnessing AI to meet our customers where they are. Nina Raphael liked thisNina Raphael liked thisProud that NatWest Group is the headline partner of the British Business Awards, taking place on Thursday in Edinburgh. The awards celebrate the ambition, resilience and adaptability that define British business today — something I see wherever I go across the UK, in organisations large and small, all focused on how to grow and succeed in a changing world. That spirit will be on full display on the night, as entrepreneurs, founders and leaders from every region and sector come together. As the UK’s biggest bank for business, supporting organisations through every stage of their journey, from start‑up to scale‑up and beyond, is central to our purpose. Growing businesses means growing the economy, and that belief underpins everything we do, from backing innovation to supporting regional growth across the UK. Nina Raphael liked thisNina Raphael liked thisRecently back from #GoogleCloudNext, and one thing is clear from client conversations: AI is now expected to drive real, measurable outcomes. The focus has shifted from experimentation to execution, with organizations embedding AI into core workflows to enable faster decisions and unlock value at scale, while addressing trust, security, and regulatory requirements from the start. AI is also evolving from static, human triggered systems to autonomous agents that continuously act on real time data and workflows. As Karthik Narain highlighted in his keynote, the winning approach is a full agentic stack where infrastructure, data, models, and agents are tightly integrated to help enterprises move from pilots to production scale impact. It’s a strong moment for the Accenture and Google Cloud partnership as we help clients bring this vision to life. Proud to see this momentum reflected in six partner awards, including the Global Partner of the Year (for the fourth consecutive year), recognizing the impact we are driving together to turn AI ambition into business performance. Special thanks to our AGBG team: Scott Alfieri, Chetna Sehgal, Liz McLachlan, Shivani Vora, Claudia Caldera, Sridhar Subramanian, Praveen Gorur Manish Sharma, John Walsh, Ajoy Menon, Rajendra Prasad (RP)

We’re frequently told we need to chase down opportunities in our professional lives. And this is especially true for women. But I don’t believe success comes from taking just any next step. When it comes to your career, I believe every step should be taken by design. The average person spends 92,000 hours at work over their lifetime. That is a staggering amount of time to spend on something that doesn't align with your values. In my latest article with SheCanCode, I explore the importance of women shaping their careers intentionally and ‘by design’. When we treat our professional path as a deliberate choice, we’re not just building strong careers - we’re also building lives we actually want to lead. #Leadership #WomenInTech #CareerGrowth https://lnkd.in/eg2CGrAN

One of my favourite pieces of retirement research we’ve done. My three favourite insights: 1. A distinct income stream is valued as an enhancement to their superannuation, seen not as a safety net but as the "icing on the cake." 2. Retirees prefer accessing additional income streams through their super fund, their trusted one-stop retirement partner. 3. Members are most receptive to product solutions in pre-retirement when they are establishing their retirement plans. Click on the link below to read more …

I’m proud to launch our flagship “No Time To Lose” report, bringing together insights from more than 300 senior leaders across financial and related professional services. One message came through clearly: the UK still has a real opportunity to lead the world in financial services but only if we act with urgency to cut through the frictions holding us back. That means being far more ambitious about a few things that really matter: • Leading the world in tokenisation of financial and real world assets -- this is a here-and-now priority, not a future experiment • Fixing the critical customer experiences that underpin growth, from home-buying to SME lending • Building a nation of investors. Only ~8% of UK households are invested in equities today, compared with over 30% in the US Delivering this isn’t something government, regulators or industry can do alone. It will take coordinated action across all participants, and a willingness to move faster than we have in the past.
