Nick Thomas shared this🎉This is huge. ✅ For anyone who has sponsored me or others over the years, this NICE approval is as direct result of your support and the tireless work of Emily Reuben OBE and her team at Duchenne UK over the last 15 years. 🙏🏻Your support is directly improving the lives of the boys and families so cruelly affected by this terrible condition. 🚴Today over 150 riders go again to Paris suppprt the life saving research and development to conquer Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. ☺️Thanks again for your support (link in comments)

Nick Thomas shared thisWatch this incredible, emotional recap of the Duchenne Dash 2025 (with Alexander and me raising our bikes in front of the Eiffel Tower at the end)! 🚴♂️ Just over a year ago 160 of us crossed the finish line in Paris after conquering 300km in 24 gruelling hours for the Duchenne Dash – all to fight Duchenne muscular dystrophy with Duchenne UK… …And I’m about to do it again, for the 8th time. This epic ride isn’t just about the pedals; it’s about powering hope for boys facing a life-altering disease that steals strength and lives far too soon. Support turns exhaustion into triumph – every extra pound raised funds vital research and family support. If the story moves you, join the dash this year in spirit as another group of us aim to raise life critical funds for DMD: please comment or share to spread the word; or whatever you can spare, you wouldn’t just be donating, you’d be changing lives. Please join us in supporting this vital cause 👊 (Link in comments 🙏🏻) https://lnkd.in/efhbqYat #DuchenneDash #DuchenneUK #CycleForACure #Fundraising

Nick Thomas shared thisIt’s been a long time since I posted here. After spending most of the last seven years deeply immersed in execution, I’ve recently had some space to zoom out and take a good look at where digital commerce is really heading over the next few years. The next wave of digitally-enabled commercial change coming feels bigger than marketplaces, mobile, or social shopping… could it even be more like a tsunami? Reshaping the future of business forever? Agentic commerce – where AI agents research, compare, negotiate and even buy on our behalf, across multiple retailers and payment rails. Thinking back to when the internet first paved the way for commerce to be permanently changed through transactional websites and virtual buy buttons - agentic shopping seems poised to disrupt nearly all the rules of engagement once more. We’re at a similar precipice of change – only this time, the “customer” at the edge might not be a real person, but their digital agent. And they may not even interact with the owned digital surface areas that many large organisations have been so slow to stand up and optimise for. So a few uncomfortable questions: - If agents become the primary interface, what happens to your brand, UX and media strategy? - How resilient are your recent tech investments and 3-year plans in a world where machines are making the shortlist? - As a consumer, how do you feel about an agent that knows your preferences, optimises your spend, and presses “pay” for you? I’d love to hear thoughts on how you think agentic commerce will reshape retail, marketplaces and payments – and what leaders should be doing now to get ahead. If you’re working on this space (or worried about it), I’d love to connect and compare notes! Credit: Google’s Nanoi Banana, for its take on my post!

Nick Thomas shared this🚴Duchenne Dash 2025 was another London to Paris epic. 🙌🏻 This year was a real Blinds 2go team effort as I was joined by Alexander Bart van Ameyde on the ride itself AND the team back at the office, who collectively cycled over 300km on an exercise bike in reception! ❤️ The spirit and teamwork this event inspires every year is humbling. 🙏🏻A HUGE Thanks to the 140+ sponsors who have helped raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy along with donations of over £12k so far for Duchenne UK to help fight the terrible disease. 🔬Funds are going directly into developing treatments for boys fighting the disease today and time is everything to these boys. ➡️ Please help us raise our £15k target here: https://lnkd.in/etkvy-en 🙋🏽How do you think we can go even further next year?

Nick Thomas reacted on thisNick Thomas reacted on thisA brilliant day at Bensons for Beds as we launched Stream, our new financial wellbeing benefit for colleagues. 🎉 Stream provides tools including earned wage access, workplace savings, discounts and financial wellbeing support, helping colleagues feel more in control of their finances. What made today particularly special was seeing the excitement from our teams as they got started with the app. Their reaction reinforced why investing in colleague wellbeing matters so much. A special thank you to Danielle Jones and Ola Swiatek and everyone else involved in bringing this to life. And to all our colleagues and Sleep Councils who through their Great Place To Work feedback created our desire to bring this to life! Launching something like this takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes, and I'm incredibly proud of what the team has achieved. 🙌 We're looking forward to rolling Stream out to all colleagues over the coming weeks and continuing to invest in benefits that make a real difference. #FinancialWellbeing #ColleagueExperience #PeopleFirst #GreatPlaceToWork #LifeatBensons Daryn Kinsella-Wood Lee Procter-Wright Nick C. Nick Thomas reacted on thisthe LEGO Group made us into an animation! 💫 Even typing that feels surreal! For those who don't know, From Babies with Love is a social enterprise helping organisations transform how they celebrate colleagues going on parental leave. Instead of an ad hoc gift or bouquet, we create meaningful moments that strengthen culture, demonstrate values, and support families. And 100% of our profits go to vulnerable children around the world. That last part is what makes all the difference. Because when a colleague receives their gift, they're not just receiving something beautiful for their new baby. They're receiving a message about the kind of company they work for - one that values families, celebrates life's biggest moments, and creates positive impact beyond its own walls. The LEGO Group understood that instinctively. As one of the world's most admired family-friendly employers, they wanted a meaningful and globally consistent way to recognise and celebrate colleagues as they grow their families. We're incredibly proud they chose us. And then, in true LEGO® fashion, they created an animation to tell the story. 💚 A huge thank you to Irmina Szczepaniak, Palle Vestergaard, Kent Frederiksen and Loren I. Shuster for your partnership and leadership. You're showing what's possible when employee experience and social impact come together. Together, we're helping create a world where every child is safe, loved and learning. ✨ #FamilyFriendlyWorkplace #HR #EmployeeExperience #ParentalLeave #SocialImpact #HRChangemakersNick Thomas reacted on thisWelcoming a new arrival is a time to celebrate but for us when it’s a LEGO® baby it makes it even more special. 💞 Thanks to our partnership with From Babies with Love, we can celebrate every new LEGO parent (whether through birth, adoption, or surrogacy) with a meaningful gift that welcomes their little one to the family, while also reaching children in need. 🧸 🎁 The gift package includes a range of items suitable for newborns, with the LEGO® DUPLO® set to be saved for later when they’re 18 months old. Why do we do it and what did it feel like to receive the gift? Nick Thomas liked thisWhen times are tough for customers as they are now, how you show up for them makes all the difference When someone buys a bed they are trusting you with a significant amount of their hard earned income, and they rightly want to be sure they have got value for money We know that value for money is in part the price you pay,but it’s more than that . It’s confidence you have bought smartly, and got the best price , it’s how affordable it is at that moment and are there ways to spread that cost , and it’s knowing you are buying a product that lasts That’s why we have launched three part value offer for our customers . 1. A price guarantee on leading brands 2. 0% interest £0 deposit payment options 3. A market leading “Lifetime” guarantee on the bed that you buy What we are about at Bensons is critical part of how we plan to create a more distinctive and compelling offer for customers . Nick C., Chief Executive Officer, Bensons for Beds, said: “Obsessed with Value is a confident statement of what we stand for as a business. The UK’s brightest founders and professionals are quietly packing their bags. And it’s not just because of the weather. Or politics. A growing number of UK entrepreneurs are rethinking not if they’ll leave, but when. In our 2025 Relocation Report, we surveyed 500+ UK business owners and professionals. The findings were eye-opening: ➡️ 38% are already planning to relocate within 12 months ➡️ 62% within two years ➡️ Over half are looking to Iberia - Portugal and Spain - for a new start This isn’t escapism. It’s a response to deeper shifts in how people define success: flexibility, wellbeing and belonging now rank alongside profit and growth. I break down what’s driving this exodus, and why Southern Europe has become the new frontier for British talent. Read the full report on the Touchdown blog (see link in the comments)

Some UK cities are quietly outperforming their funding levels doing more with less. When we built the Built in Notts Index we compared over 20 tech cities using the same metrics. 💸 Innovate UK funding 🚀 Startup creation rates 🎓 Graduate talent pipeline 📈 Survival and growth data And the pattern was clear it’s not just about money. Cities like Coventry, Sheffield and York are producing strong innovation outcomes with less funding per startup than the UK average. The challenge and the opportunity is how we turn that efficiency into visibility and investment. You can explore the full rankings and insights here: https://lnkd.in/erhAisGJ If you work in one of these cities I’d love to hear what’s driving the ecosystem forward where you are. #UKTech #Innovation #Research #Startups

**UK Business Owners: A Critical ROI Analysis on Lead Retention.** The recent £17bn annual **Lead Leakage** across UK small businesses is not a market anomaly; it is a direct consequence of systemic **Response Latency**. Each business experiences an average **£6,375 deficit in potential Revenue Recovery**, purely from unmanaged inquiries outside standard hours. This represents a quantifiable financial hemorrhage. Businesses failing to secure the **First Responder Advantage** are systematically divesting from their own growth. Our **Lead Protection Audit** demonstrates precisely where capital is lost, and the **Lead Guardian** service provides the engineered solution to plug these leaks, ensuring maximum lead retention and immediate **Revenue Recovery**.
