Hannah Coley shared thisWhat a setting for the UNLEASH Expedition! I'm spending the afternoon inside Sanofi's incredible Paris office, with views of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. 🇫🇷 We started with a lot of talk about the journey to becoming a skills-first organisation. It's a topic close to my heart, and it takes me right back to the work I was doing at HSBC. Every organisation is at a different stage, and hearing how others are tackling it has been brilliant. Thank you to Florence Cauvet for such an open look at how her function works. We've now moved on to AI and digital transformation, led by Sanofi's R&D team. Sanofi describes itself as an AI-powered biopharma company, so I'm excited to see what that looks like in practice. Thanks to Kyle Lagunas for hosting. There's more networking to come this evening, and then it's on to the main event tomorrow! 🚀

Hannah Coley shared thisHeading to UNLEASH this week! 🚀 I've been a few times now, and the best bits are often not on the main stage. They're the smaller breakouts and the conversations in between. Two things I really want to find out this year: how TA teams are actually using AI day to day, beyond the hype, and how the CRM and ATS market is adapting to AI. But I'd love to hear from you too: What would you be asking if you were there? If you're going, which sessions are on your list? Drop it below 👇 I'll take the best questions with me and share what I find when I'm back. I'm also looking forward to catching up with some of the partners I've worked with, past and present, including Hirevue, NOVA by Dweet and Eightfold AI. If you're on the stand, I'll come and find you! And if you're heading there too, let me know in the comments! P.S. Adding a photo so the algorithm does its thing. 😄

Hannah Coley shared thisCome join our epic team... we're hiring again! 🚀 Steven.com & FlightStory are growing rapidly, and we need another Talent Acquisition Specialist to keep up with demand. This one is for a genuine hunter. Someone who doesn't wait for applicants, uses AI every day to find great people faster, and just gets on and makes things happen. We move fast. Ideas become action quickly here, so you'll thrive if you love pace, take ownership and get stuff done without being asked twice. You'll work alongside our Heads of TA, own your own roles end to end, and help hire the people behind The Diary Of A CEO, Begin Again and We Need To Talk. Agency recruiters ready for their first in-house move are very welcome. Media or creative hiring experience is a big plus. If you know an awesome sourcer looking for a move in-house, this could be perfect! Tag them below 👇 📍 London. Link in the comments.

Hannah Coley shared thisWhy is nobody in Talent Acquisition talking about Grok bots? I asked one of my bots to check LinkedIn for TA leaders using them. It came back almost empty. A handful of US tech examples. Barely anyone in talent here in the UK or Europe. I was hoping that they'd be a hot topic at #UNLEASH this year. Surely I'm not the first? 👀 For me and my team, bots are already becoming part of how we work. Pulling insights, prepping updates, taking the admin off a busy team so they can spend more time with actual people. The bot does the legwork. Humans make every decision that matters. So I'm curious: In TA and using them? What for? In TA and not using them? What's stopping you? Using them outside TA? How are they making your team faster? I've said it before and I'll say it again: WE ARE LIVING IN THE FUTURE. And I'm obsessed. 🚀 Drop your answers below 👇 I'll pull the best ones together in a follow-up.

You'll run it across our new IP and the creators we sign: what we make, what it earns, and the team behind it. We're looking for someone who has led short form across multiple brands, sees brand partners as a creative opportunity, and has a clear view on where short form is going in the creator age. Brunson, lead and coach a team of brand partnership sellers, and build partnerships with brands and holding companies that go well beyond a standard ad read: branded content, social, product collaborations and new formats. Hannah Coley reposted thisHannah Coley reposted thisI’m hiring someone to work in the year 2036 🤖🔮 At Steven.com, we’re looking for someone to help shape the technology behind how we create, operate and grow our shows. You’ll work directly with our Internal Creator Technology team across shows including The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett, finding new ways to improve how we research guests, develop stories, produce episodes, create content and connect with audiences. Then you’ll turn those opportunities into AI-native products people genuinely use, from agentic workflows and generative media pipelines, to entirely new tools that we haven’t even imagined yet. We’re looking for someone who has shipped products from start to finish, understands AI deeply, and can move comfortably between engineers, producers, creatives and commercial teams. If you’re excited by the creator economy and want to help build the technology behind the future of media, reach out. Come build the future of the creator economy with us! 🚀

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisACTION will change your mindset. Read all the books you want. Listen to all the podcasts on Spotify. Go on courses. But nothing will teach you confidence, resilience and move you closer to your goals more than JUST STARTING. I know because I got stuck for a while. Quite a long while actually, maybe a whole year. I listened to podcasts, read the books, wrote the lists but sat in my office spinning my chair wondering why I was feeling stuck. But eventually I decided to start doing more stuff. I went and surrounded myself with the team. Spoke openly about goals, daily. And started actually feeling productive again. You can read how to fix a car but until you start trying, the car is still broken.

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisA year ago I arrived in Hollywood for my first day as Social & Creative Strategy Director for Steven BartlettSteven Bartlett… I've been to 14 different cities around the world. I've met some of the most famous, powerful and smart people on the planet. My team and I have made content that's reached billions of people. But I'll keep it real with you… it hasn’t been easy Long days, red-eye flights and a bar higher than you can imagine. But nothing that really matters is ever easy. And the hard bits are the bits that matter. So here's what I've learned this year that might be useful for you 👇 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 2 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 I was sitting in a cafe in Paris before I accepted this job with a friend, who said to me: “Virgil had to work with Kanye. Kanye had to work with Jay-Z. You can’t miss a chance to work with the best in your field.” That did it for me. That’s what convinced me I had to take this role. Now I get to test my ideas against one of the very best in content and creator space. It's taught me where my strengths and weaknesses lie, and it’s hard to even explain how much I've grown. Proximity is everything. 𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡 It’s 2pm in JFK airport after a tough shoot when a sprightly lady comes up to our table: "STEVEN! I just wanted to say that I listen to every episode and you've changed my life." That's when you see the impact of the what we do at Steven.com & FLIGHTSTORY. I don't wanna make anything that doesn't have a positive impact on people. No matter how creative or "cool" it is. Life's too short to make stuff you don't believe in. 𝗗𝗢 𝗜𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗞𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 When I was at school they called me naughty, I called it adventurous. I would go places, wear clothes and do things other people didn't understand. That same curiosity led me here. I took this job because I knew it would be an adventure, and the best adventures aren't supposed to be easy. They're supposed to challenge you, make you think & make you feel alive. So if you're thinking about taking that risk, making that move or starting that adventure that scares the shit out of you… Start. You might just end up somewhere beyond your wildest dreams ✨✨✨

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisWhat a month. New York → Atlanta → London. A lot packed in 🚀! 🗽 Back to my old stomping ground in NYC for #LinkedIn Talent Connect for 'Work, like never before'. AI was inevitably centre stage, but what resonated strongest was how we lead through this inflection point. NASA astronaut Leland Melvin brought that to life brilliantly, sharing how adversity can create opportunity and why we should never stop believing. Never stop exploring. Thank you David, Vicky for being consummate hosts! 🍑Then Atlanta, spending time with IHG Hotels & Resorts exceptional Marketing & Brand teams. Since Employer Brand joined the function, the collaboration, expertise & energy have genuinely turbo-charged our work. Throw in some proper Southern hospitality, soulful food & cousin time with Matt Reed, and it was a pretty special week. Thanks so much Kim, John, Tiffany, Matt, Adrienne, Christine, Nick, Matthew & co! 🏆 Back home, the team picked up Best Audio at the Recruitment Marketing Awards for Leading a New Era, our podcast exploring the people behind some of IHG's most iconic luxury hotels. So proud of David & Eunice https://lnkd.in/evjX8Esm 🛋️ And finally, something a little different: Joining the beyond talented Gina Edge & The Employer Branding Club community for our first Therapy Couch, talking honestly about the joys, challenges and occasional headaches of building multi-brand EVPs. Lots of miles. Lots of conversations. Lots learnt. With good people who make good work better 🙌.

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisI wrote this article in 2018, and the internet went absolutely bananas. These were the days when going “viral” wasn't something you wanted. It was something to be avoided in a nightclub toilet. Everyone was talking about “work-life balance”. It was the LinkedIn buzzword of the year. It was also the question I got asked most when interviewing graduates (no sorry, you’ve not got the job this time...) I called bulls**t on the whole thing. I expected white hot fury in the comments. Instead, THOUSANDS of people turned up to agree with me. I was 32. I was running a £100m company. I was possessed. I was totally insufferable… Sadly, I was also probably right. I signed off with a throwaway line: “You do more next year, so I can have some kids.” Well, I had the kids. And unsurprisingly, nobody did more. Except me. I did a lot more. I'm now starting a new business. But I’m 3 children and a few vaginal stitches heavier than the woman who wrote this.* And I’m struggling. My ambition hasn’t shrunk. It’s grown legs. And horns. It now has meaning and direction. But 40 year old mum-of-three Amy is berating herself for not moving faster, working later, taking the 6pm call at bathtime. 27 year old Amy is shouting at me over the music at the networking drinks: "WHAT ARE WE DOING? JUST HIRE ANOTHER NANNY."** So I reread this article expecting to roll my eyes, get the pitchfork out and cancel myself for being so un-enlightened. Truth is, I couldn’t. If you want to win in the current system, this is still what it demands. Because the system was built by men. With wives. Women before me spent decades fighting to change it. It’s the reason I was running a company at 32, and I’m hugely grateful. But you can only retrofit an old system so far. So I’m kinda working on trying to build a new one... 🙄 If you were writing the rules from scratch, what’s the first one you’d rip up? 👇 *I said vaginal on LinkedIn 😆 **I think I genuinely said this to someone before I had kids. I die.

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisMy A-Level results wasn't what I had hoped for. But I managed to turn it all around. Today marks the end to the first month of my internship at Chapter 2. It's been such a wonderful experience so far and I cannot wait to see where this takes me. Results day knocked my confidence. For a while it felt like those grades would decide what I could and couldn't do. So I decided to prove them wrong. I kept applying, and used every rejection to improve how I applied, interviewed and showed up. I was lucky enough to land this amazing opportunity. One month in, I'm working with on the frontline with and learning something new every day. The team has trusted me with real work from week one, and I'm grateful for that. To anyone who's just had results that didn't go to plan: they're one chapter, not the whole story. Thank you to Leo Harrison, James King and Louise Brown for giving me this chance.

Hannah Coley liked thisHannah Coley liked thisLinkedIn recently invited me to Talent Connect in NYC, and the energy was unmatched 🇺🇸 Considering that Chapter 2 launched our US operation just over a year ago, it was the perfect time to get out and meet some of the greatest TA minds in the industry 🤯 Erika Irish Brown delivered a brilliant keynote, and the launch of LinkedIn’s Hiring Assistant made AI the hot topic of conversation. The highlights included: 🤖 AI is transforming how work gets done, but we will always need human judgment, adaptability, and ownership. 🤖 We need to rethink how we build resilient, intentional careers in an AI-driven world by moving beyond the traditional career ladder and investing in transferable skills. 🤖 People should use AI to enhance their strengths without outsourcing their skills or accountability. There was a lot of chat about how both sides of the market are now using AI. Recruiters are automating screening and outreach, while candidates are using AI to rewrite their CVs for each role and to auto-apply to hundreds of jobs. This is creating a significant gap between talent and hiring teams, with deepfake CVs posing a major security risk for businesses. This is why I strongly advocate for a “human-first, AI-enabled” approach to business. The one conversation I felt was missing was about the impact AI is having on the people already inside our businesses. With so many people working from home and turning to Claude before consulting a colleague, what happens to their sense of autonomy, competence, and connection at work? Is it propping up average performers, or making them appear better? Are we unintentionally making people more isolated? I don’t have the answers yet, but I believe talent and people leaders need to start asking these questions now - before the impact appears in engagement and retention data. I'd love others' thoughts on this 💬

75% of businesses want AI upskilling delivered through their HR provision. Only 4% currently get it. (SEEDL HR Insights Research, 2026) If you're in HR, that gap is probably one you're already feeling. Your people are asking what AI actually means for their day to day, and most HR functions haven't had the chance to build that answer yet. Today at 11am we're running a free taster, An Introduction to Copilot. It covers how Copilot works inside Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, and how to help your team use it with confidence instead of guesswork. This is exactly the kind of AI upskilling our research says HR teams are asking for. Come see it for yourself. Join us at 11am. Register in the link below.

The HR Morning Show returns with headlines, global trends, and a people-first lens on what’s actually working in talent. Today’s episode digs into the state of recruiting and retention with actionable ideas you can put to work this week. We kick off with The Global Report and the latest market signals, then hand the mic to our first guest, Kate Warman, who shares the inside view of navigating a full TA outsourcing event and what leaders can learn about process, governance, AI tooling, and keeping recruiting human during change. In our second guest segment, Tricia House unpacks the evolution of AI in HR—why a human-centered approach matters, how to build genuinely inclusive, skills-based hiring, why flexibility is non-negotiable for the future of work, and the competitive edge of moms in your workforce. We also check The Weather Report with Serge, spotlight upcoming events (including ERE in San Diego on Nov 4–5), and wrap with practical takeaways you can bring to your team today. Big thanks to our marquee sponsor, Keka, the all-in-one HR, payroll, and performance platform powering a better employee experience.
