Last week we welcomed our new Operations & Team Administrator, Monty Heseltine, to the TYG team. Having just returned from a working holiday across Australia and New Zealand, Monty will be supporting the internal team with all things operations. To celebrate, the team headed out for pizza in the sunshine 🍕☀️ If you can picture yourself at our next welcome lunch, we'd love to hear from: – 2025/26 graduates looking to start a career in recruitment – Experienced recruiters across US markets – UK Built Environment recruiters interested in making the switch to the US market If you're interested in exploring opportunities with TYG, get in touch with Maya Simmonds today!

London is set to hit 100°F this week, which for England is big news. The water cooler has never been so popular, which got us thinking about the hydration break debate at the FIFA World Cup. A lot of people think players should just get on with it, but after spending the day talking about how hot it is, refilling water bottles, and complaining about a short walk to the office, we're starting to wonder whether we'd last five minutes out there!

Ever thought you’d be good in recruitment, but never really knew how to get started? We’re launching our first Recruitment Academy this August!!! Recruitment at the start can be tough. There’s a lot to learn, a lot of pressure, and honestly, not enough companies properly support people early on. But when you’re surrounded by the right people, in the right environment, it can become one of the most rewarding careers out there 👌 That’s exactly why we wanted to build this at TYG. We’re bringing in a small group of people, so it’ll be very hands on from day one. You’ll learn together, push each other, build confidence quickly, and celebrate the wins together too, all whilst being surrounded by a genuinely ambitious, supportive and social team. We’re looking for people who are competitive, commercially minded, motivated by progression, and excited by the idea of building something long term. Full details here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ez4auAjH If it sounds like your kind of thing, message Maya Simmonds or apply now.

A little re-introduction to our Landscape Architecture team 👋 Our team specialises purely in Landscape Architecture recruitment across the US, working closely with firms ranging from boutique studios to nationally recognised practices. They know the market, they know the people, and they understand how important the right fit is on both sides. If you’re hiring, looking for a new role, or just want an honest chat about the market, reach out to Harvey Dunsire, Hannah Daly, Hannah Ricketts, Toby Shrimpton or Paige Ryding!

    👀 Take a look at Jamie Blackburn’s blog ⬇️

I wrote my first blog! Have a quick read (only 3 minutes!). There's a growing shortage of experienced electrical engineers in our market - in part fuelled by the AI/ Data Center gold rush. I’ve offered my perspective based on conversations with candidates around why traditional MEP isn’t quite cutting it for some anymore, along with a bit of insight into what our clients can do to stay ahead of the curve (hint hint... it's not JUST about cash in hand, but that does play a part.)

Here at TYG, we had a record quarter to start off 2026, and we couldn't have achieved that without all the hard work from each and every one of our consultants. As usual, we took our top performers out for quarterly lunch club, and then the whole team enjoyed a trip to the Bermondsey Beer Mile to celebrate. Here's to another successful quarter!
