From internship to apprenticeship: investing in the next generation ⚡ We’re delighted to welcome Kiran to OEG as he begins a four-year electromechanical engineering apprenticeship with our Offshore Technology team based in Lowestoft, UK. Kiran first joined OEG this summer through EEEGR (East of England Energy Group)’s Coastal Energy Internship Programme, completing a 20-day placement as one of 39 students gaining experience across the region’s energy sector. During his placement, Kiran worked alongside our technical team to analyse offshore wave radar data and develop an interactive 3D visualisation. His technical ability, initiative and enthusiasm made such an impression that our Offshore Technology team identified an opportunity to create a new software and systems development role for him alongside his apprenticeship. OEG is proud to support initiatives that create meaningful pathways into the energy sector and help develop the skills and talent our industry needs for the future. OEG has signed an agreement with Diverse Marine to supply three new build CTVs to support our fleet expansion and renewal program. The Brevity SL Class Chartwell Marine Ltd designed vessels will support construction operations on an offshore wind project on the East coast of the UK in 2027. The new build CTVs will operate alongside Fulmar and Furioso, both Chartwell designed vessels with proven offshore experience. #OEG #CTVs #OffshoreWind
