We are proud to have supported this incredible initiative through the BC Partners Foundation! Congratulations to City Pay it Forward and City AM on delivering such a tangible outcome and helping to improve financial literacy education. Amazing result. We successfully raised over £175,000 to donate to London primary schools to prioritize financial literacy education. At City Pay it Forward, we saw a clear gap in financial literacy within the education system and decided to act. Providing it for free was not enough. The subject is not statutory, the school day is already crowded, and research suggests many teachers lack the confidence to engage with it. Our solution: offer a £1,000 grant to any London-based state-funded primary school that uses our three-part, award-winning curriculum, complete with everything a teacher needs to effectively teach this important life skill. This means 175 grants, 175 primary schools teaching the program to over 10,000 Year Six students. Both City Pay it Forward and City AM provided the curriculum and support for the campaign free of charge so that all money raised flows directly to schools. A huge thank you to our sponsors who took a leadership role in bringing this campaign to life, including Schroders, Barings, Nuveen, a TIAA company, Fidelity International, Janus Henderson Investors, Aviva Investors, Acasta Partners, Foresters Financial, BC Partners, Canaccord Wealth, The Association of Investment Companies (AIC), Edison Group, KingsRock Advisors. Together with our partners at City AM, we believe this approach can begin to reshape how the business community supports the education sector. This is how we make social impact in a granular, measurable way. A huge thank you to the fantastic City AM team for all the help, support and encouragement, including Harry Owen, Christian May, Lawson Muncaster, Rupert Hargreaves and Sophie Pearce. Thank you in particular to Neil Blankstone. Learn more about our work at City Pay it Forward at www.citypayitforward.com or on the campaign at www.yearsixdividend.com.
