When a loved one is receiving treatment, the last thing anyone wants to think about is finding cash, queuing to make a payment, or moving from one point to another looking for proof of payment. That reality brought us together with C-Care Uganda(IHK Hospital), Namuwongo today. Through this partnership, patients and caregivers can now pay for healthcare services using MTN MoMo, with payments instantly reflected in the hospital system and confirmation received right away. Speaking at the launch, our CPO, Jemima Kariuki- Njuguna, shared that MTN MoMo's goal is to become part of everyday life by making digital payments available wherever people need them, whether they are travelling, shopping, worshipping, or accessing healthcare. Dr Miriam Mutero-Musinga the GM, C-Care IHK noted that improving the patient experience remains at the heart of C-Care's work and that making payments easier is an important part of delivering quality care. Throughout the discussions, there was a shared appreciation for how small improvements can make a real difference in a patient's journey. Something as simple as being able to pay quickly and receive instant confirmation can remove unnecessary stress at a time when families are focused on getting the care they need. The process is straightforward. A patient receives their bill, share your MTN Number, approves the payment prompt on their phone, and receives instant confirmation while the payment is reflected immediately in the hospital system. It's a simple change, but one that can make a meaningful difference for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers alike. #MoreWithMoMo

Over the weekend in Fort Portal, Burahya County were crowned champions of the 2026 Tooro Kingdom MTN Amasaza Cup after a hard-fought final against Mwenge South.
