AUTILLUS is the Association of Swiss children's authors and illustrators. It promotes Swiss children's and young adult literature, acting as a vital connection point between professional book creators, libraries, schools, publishers, and readers both in Switzerland and internationally.

Visual Identity
Our visual identity for AUTILLUS prioritizes a fun, colorful, and approachable aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the creativity inherent in children's books and illustrations. The design aims to create an inviting online space for all members of the children's literature community, from creators to readers.
A vibrant and saturated color palette is used to evoke a sense of energy and engagement, while simple, one-line illustrations provide a cohesive and memorable visual element throughout the site.

Typeface
We hand-drew the "AUTILLUS" logo with intentionally imperfect outlines to create a lively and animated feel. This approach captures the brand's playful essence while maintaining a sharp yet deliberately imperfect character.
Typography
The primary font used on the AUTILLUS website is Manrope. This clean and modern sans-serif font complements the playful and slightly unruly logo, creating a balanced and harmonious visual identity. Manrope's versatility and excellent readability make it a practical choice for both digital and print materials, ensuring a consistent and professional look and feel across all platforms.
Web Design
A key element of AUTILLUS’ visual identity is the incorporation of playful, bendy, hand-drawn line illustrations. These illustrations add a unique and memorable touch to the website, evoking a sense of creativity and imagination. Their organic, unassuming nature evokes doodles, reflects the artistic process and connects directly to the world of illustration within children's literature.
Final Design
Building on the logo and visual identity, we aimed to design a website that is both playful and well-balanced, while remaining clean and modern. The site features thoughtfully designed layouts and a custom filtering system to seamlessly navigate portfolios, news, and offers, ensuring an engaging and user-friendly experience.
