Could have been amazing

The campaign for this game is an absolute banger. I truly did enjoy the story, visuals, characters, and overall experience of the campaign. The multiplayer leaves so much to be desired. The matchmaking makes this game an absolute chore to play, and the maps honestly have no flow whatsoever unless you are playing domination. This may be the worst pool of launch maps for a Call of Duty title in years... If you haven't enjoyed the matchmaking for the last few years, don't even bother.

Fails while playing local split screens all the time

Also this is a review for MW4, I can’t believe your local split screen maps are so bad. None Taraq or invasion style maps. If I were you, all the maps will be that style. You don’t know your customers. I spend $70+ on the game to find out all split screen maps sucks.

DMZ: A PvE Mission Game Disguised as an Extraction Shooter

DMZ feels like a PvE mission game with extraction bolted onto it, rather than a PvPvE sandbox where other players make every deployment unpredictable. I wanted to like the new DMZ, but I find it boring, disconnected, and lacking the tension that should define an extraction shooter. My biggest complaint is the lack of meaningful PvP. Matches feel overwhelmingly PvE, with long stretches of fighting endless AI, looting, and completing repetitive objectives without encountering other players. The lack of consistent, unpredictable operator encounters leaves the experience feeling empty and removes much of the excitement that makes extraction games compelling. The game is also overly punishing when you fail to extract. Losing gear is part of the genre, but charging increasingly expensive fees to revive higher-level operators adds another penalty on top of losing your equipment and loot. This feels less like meaningful risk and more like a punishment that discourages experimentation and continued play. The looting system feels completely disconnected from the setting. Why am I stopping in the middle of a war zone to search a refrigerator for plastic parts? It makes no sense in the context of a military operation. Instead of immersion, I'm left doing arbitrary scavenging tasks that feel designed to extend playtime rather than enhance the experience. Missions quickly become repetitive, while AI enemies are more frustrating than challenging, seemingly to spawn endlessly from behind you and overwhelming you through sheer numbers. Progression is equally underwhelming. The skill tree offers minor percentage improvements to already existing skills rather than meaningful changes to gameplay. The FOB is clunky and unintuitive, forcing you to run between different stations just to manage your loadout and upgrades. The map also lacks the atmosphere and environmental storytelling needed to make exploration worthwhile. To sum up my frustrations, the endless empty grind, cumbersome menus, endless AI, and lack of meaningful operator encounters ultimately, left me feeling like DMZ is a collection of systems rather than a cohesive, living military sandbox. More crafting, materials, and missions don't automatically create depth. I want meaningful progression, believable encounters, and the constant uncertainty of running into other players. Right now, this feels like a PvE looting simulator with extraction mechanics, not the tense, unpredictable DMZ experience I was hoping for.

Just really terrible and no improvements just garbage

This is just a sped up version of the current garbage they have been putting out. COD got me again and ps5 won’t let me return glad I went to a PC finally today.

Get in touch with your customers anf fan base

You guys just keep driving people away. Bring back skill-based matching in casuals. It's all but unplayable now due to the unbeatable hotshots running around that are Privates level 1 like they just started but play like the professionals off of Youtube that do this for a living. Plus, the rampant cheating from players using illegal mods is rampant. It's no longer fun for casual players who would spend a ton of money on this franchise if you would just let us have fun instead of being cannon fodder for the kids who do this all day every day on mom and dads credit card.

Somehow took a step backwards

I thought after playing BO6 and MW3 they were finally going in the right direction with the campaign… of course I was wrong, they went right back to laggy online only campaigns where there aren’t any checkpoints and you get kicked for being idle too long. The creators are so disconnected from the fan base, it’s not even funny. I wish I could get a refund but I bought it digitally so I guess my loss here.

Absurd launcher setup

It is entirely too complicated to have all of these games launch out of one. Just let us download what we want.

Game is broken

Although the campaign is fun the game is broken. You can’t play campaign unless you disconnect from the internet and you can’t play selected missions after you’ve beaten the game. It says you need a disc to play the game. First of all it’s a digital version that I’ve bought and second, I’ve been playing the game the whole time and even beaten the campaign. Now you ask to insert the disc to play? It makes no sense. But it allows to you to replay the campaign from start. Games like this should not still be up for sale.

Good game ruined by corporate greed

Campaign is trash, no effort into the story. Multi-player and zombies is good but the biggest problem with this game is you always have be connected online to play the game and you can't even play zombies or practice in multiplayer by yourself without paying for ps plus! Last time I'm buying a game like this.

War erupts on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a full-scale invasion that threatens to destabilize the world in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 4.

A young squad of South Korean soldiers fight to survive on the collapsing front lines, while half a world away a vengeful Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows as he stays one step ahead of those hunting him. As Price’s off-book mission collides with the forces behind the invasion, the war spreads beyond anyone’s control.

Modern Warfare® 4 pushes the series into darker and more dangerous territory, where consequence and escalation bring long-running storylines to a powerful and emotional breaking point.

- Campaign drops players into trench warfare in Korea, close-quarters combat in New York, high-octane chases through Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai, and city-wide assaults to reclaim occupied territory.
- Multiplayer delivers grounded, precise combat where fluid movement, player choice, and greater control define every engagement.
- In DMZ, players operate as an off-the-books asset behind enemy lines, where every extraction run into contested territory forces hard choices about which objectives to pursue, what to secure, and when to get out.
