STRIKE Sees What Others Miss

Steve Cobb is SecurityScorecard’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) bringing more than 25 years of leadership consulting surrounding IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence. Since joining SecurityScorecard in 2023, Steve has been responsible for providing strategic IT consulting and delivering increased organization efficiency and security for our customers.

Prior to SecurityScorecard, he was a Senior Security Engineer with Verizon Managed Security and a Senior Escalation Engineer with Microsoft. Steve serves on several CISO boards and is a frequent presenter at conferences such as InfoSecCon, Cyber Defense Summit, and others. Steve attended UNC-CH, but left early to start his own IT company, and ultimately received his degree in Business from East Carolina University. Steve and his wife have two daughters and a son.

Corian Kennedy leads research and development on SecurityScorecard’s STRIKE team, bringing more than 20 years in original security research, adversary tracking, and threat intelligence automation. He owns STRIKE’s R&D and architects the signal-to-product pipeline that turns original research into detection content, risk signals, and customer-facing alerts across SecurityScorecard’s platform. Current work spans critical infrastructure resilience research across the US healthcare and energy sectors, focused on closing exposure gaps in operational environments that have historically fallen outside commercial security coverage. He is also the creator of declawed.io, a platform he built to surface and track more than 700,000 exposed AI agent instances across the public internet, with findings picked up across major national and technology press.

Corian’s original research has shaped how the industry tracks adversary campaigns and AI security risks. His work on large-scale router-based infrastructure used by nation-state actors has informed briefings at the highest levels of US cyber defense and contributed CVE-level findings adopted by the broader defender community. He has authored peer-reviewed research on emergent AI behavior and contributed proposals to the OWASP LLM Top 10.

Prior to SecurityScorecard, Corian held senior research roles at major vulnerability intelligence firms and led a global threat research lab at a tier-one telecommunications provider, where his team operated at internet-scale across command-and-control tracking and network telemetry analysis. He is a contributing author to the OASIS STIX 2.0 standard, maintains an ORCID research record of his published work, has presented at most of the conferences you’ve been in the audience for, and founded SecKC, one of the longest-running security communities in the Midwest, which he has led for 15 years.
