Two ways to get a Cape Verde IP address
Rotating residential
A Cabo Verde proxy server on real household lines from Alou, Unitel T+ and Starlink, on Santiago, São Vicente, Sal, Fogo and Maio. Best for property and job listings, price monitoring and local search checks.
- Municipality, city, ZIP, ISP and ASN targeting
- New IP per request or sticky sessions
- OS fingerprint targeting (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android)
- Pay as you go from 1 GB
Rotating mobile
A Cape Verdean proxy server on an Alou SIM card, the mobile network of CV Telecom. Best for app testing, social media and the strictest anti-bot systems.
- Carrier and ASN targeting
- Praia and Ribeira Brava targeting
- OS fingerprint targeting
- Rotate on demand or keep a sticky session
Need the same IP for weeks at a time? Static residential proxies are not offered in Cape Verde; use a sticky session to hold the same Cape Verdean IP on residential or mobile. Datacenter IPs are not available in Cape Verde at the moment.
Cape Verde at a glance
Why a local IP changes what you see
Search results, property listings, hotel prices and the ads shown to people in Cape Verde all depend on where a request comes from. The country is a small market spread over ten Atlantic islands.
Portuguese is the official language, which is a trap for anyone checking from abroad: a Portuguese search looks similar from Lisbon or São Paulo, but the local results, shops and prices in Cabo Verde are different. A Cape Verde IP address is the reliable way to see the local version.
| Fact | Figure | Why it matters for proxy work |
|---|---|---|
| Population | 491,233 residents at the 2021 census, 29.6% of them in Praia | Many home IPs sit around Praia; target other islands for results outside the capital. |
| Capital | Praia, on the island of Santiago | Praia is a municipality and city target for residential and for mobile. |
| Territory | Ten islands, nine of them inhabited, divided into 22 municipalities | Our region level is the municipality: 9 of the 22 can be selected, on 5 islands. |
| Currency | Cape Verdean escudo (CVE), at a fixed parity of 110.265 escudos per euro | Local shops and listings quote escudos, often next to euros, so collect prices from the local version of a site. |
| Language | Portuguese is the official language; Cape Verdean Creole is widely spoken | Portuguese results differ between Cabo Verde, Portugal and Brazil, so check them from a Cape Verdean IP. |
| Mobile networks | Two: Alou (CV Telecom, formerly CVMóvel) and Unitel T+ | Alou is in our mobile pool; Unitel T+ is in our residential pool only. |
| Country domain | .cv | News, job and property sites such as expressodasilhas.cv, empregos.cv and imoveis.cv serve local readers from .cv addresses. |

What our Cape Verde proxy coverage actually reaches
Read from the live API, not a brochure
Here is exactly what you can target in Cabo Verde today, taken from the same API our dashboard uses: use the whole country, or pin a session to a municipality, city or network listed below.
9 municipalities on 5 islands
The API works at municipality level (concelho): 9 of the country’s 22. Grouped by island, that is Santiago (Praia, São Domingos, São Lourenço dos Órgãos and Tarrafal), São Vicente, Sal, Fogo (São Filipe and Santa Catarina do Fogo) and Maio. Santo Antão, São Nicolau, Boa Vista and Brava are not residential region targets at the moment; for those, target the country as a whole.
8 cities and towns you can target
Praia is the capital, Mindelo the main city of São Vicente and Espargos the main town of Sal. São Filipe and Cova Figueira are on Fogo, Vila do Maio is the main town of Maio, and Montanha and Toril are villages in central and northern Santiago. São Domingos has no separate city entry.
Cape Verde mobile proxy carrier
One of Cabo Verde’s two mobile networks is in our pool: Alou, the brand CV Telecom has used for its mobile, fixed and TV services since CVMóvel was merged into the company in 2023. Unitel T+, the other network, is not in the mobile API, so every mobile IP you get is an Alou one. For mobile, the API lists two region targets, Praia on Santiago and Ribeira Brava on São Nicolau, and one city, Praia.
Cape Verdean home ISPs
The residential API lists 3 ISPs you can target by name: Alou (CV Telecom), Unitel T+ and Starlink satellite internet, which began operating in Cabo Verde in January 2025. We count each network once, with no resellers added.
Why the network mix matters. Anti-bot systems look at which network a request comes from. Spreading sessions across Alou, Unitel T+ and Starlink makes your traffic look like ordinary Cape Verdean households.

Cape Verde proxy FAQ
Straight answers
What is a Cape Verdean proxy server (CV proxy)?
A Cape Verdean proxy server, or Cabo Verde proxy server, gives you a Cape Verde IP address, so websites and apps treat you as a visitor from Cape Verde. A Cape Verde residential proxy routes your traffic through a real household connection on Alou, Unitel T+ or Starlink instead of a data centre, so it is far less likely to be flagged.
Cape Verde or Cabo Verde: is it the same proxy?
Yes. Cabo Verde is the country’s official name and Cape Verde the traditional English one. Whether you search for a Cape Verde proxy, a proxy Cape Verde or Cabo Verde proxies, you get the same network: IPs in the country with the code CV.
How do I get a Cape Verde IP address?
Set the country to Cape Verde in the dashboard and connect through the endpoint it generates. Every request then leaves from a Cape Verdean IP in the municipality or city you choose.
Can I target specific Cape Verdean islands, cities or ISPs?
Yes, within what the network covers: 9 municipalities on Santiago, São Vicente, Sal, Fogo and Maio, 8 cities and towns from Praia and Mindelo to Espargos, and 3 ISPs (Alou, Unitel T+ and Starlink), plus ZIP code, ASN and OS fingerprint, at no extra charge.
Do you offer Cape Verde mobile proxies?
Yes, on Alou, the mobile network of CV Telecom, with region targeting in Praia and Ribeira Brava; Unitel T+ is not available on mobile. Mobile IPs are shared by many real subscribers, which makes them among the hardest IPs for websites to block.
Do you have Cape Verdean datacenter or static IPs?
Not at the moment. Datacenter and static residential proxies are not offered with Cape Verdean IPs. For a long-lived Cape Verde IP, use a sticky session on residential or mobile.
How much do Cape Verde proxies cost?
Rotating residential costs $3.50 for 1 GB on Pay As You Go and as little as $1.50/GB on larger plans; rotating mobile costs $4.50 for 1 GB, down to $2.00/GB. Prices are in US dollars, per GB rather than per IP, and Cape Verdean targeting is included. You can start with a $1.97 trial.
Can I keep the same Cape Verdean IP?
Yes. Rotating residential and mobile proxies both support sticky sessions, which hold the same Cape Verdean IP across requests.
Which protocols and tools are supported?
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, with any browser, scraper, rank tracker or anti-detect browser, and no limit on concurrent sessions.
Is using a proxy legal?
Proxies are a standard tool for price monitoring, SEO and ad verification. What matters is how you use them: respect each site’s terms of service, and if you collect personal data about people in Cabo Verde, follow the data protection rules that apply.
