The ski school is a modern take on the traditional ski school. Designed around you and your individual learning requirements, we create unique ski and snowboard lessons to cater for your every need. You can choose from our small group lesson sizes or a bespoke private ski lesson to guarantee your skiing is taken to the next level. We are so much more than just a ski school, whether you are an adult or child, beginner skier or world class athlete, we have something that suits you.
Private Ski & Snowboard Lessons
For you we offer small group lessons with a maximum of 4 to enhance your learning experience or you can book something a little bit special with a bespoke private lesson tailored just for you or bring a friend along for free!
Group Ski & Snowboard Lessons
You are guaranteed valued time for your children at great value for you. Whether you are enrolling them in their first ski lesson or signing up to one of the advanced Children’s Group Lessons you will see them them develop in talent and confidence.
We have a choice of ski schools in 10 different alpine resorts. Each has a dedicated team of instructors and live booking online.

The earlier the better, especially for private ski lessons during peak weeks like Christmas, February half term and Easter. Our instructors get booked up quickly across our resorts in France and Switzerland, so booking ahead means you get the day, time and instructor that suits you best.
That said, we understand plans change and last minute trips happen. If you are travelling soon, just get in touch with our office staff and we will do our best to arrange the right lessons for you, whether that is skiing or snowboarding.
We are a modern take on the traditional ski schools. Where some of the larger ski schools like ESF run big group lessons, we keep our group lessons small with a maximum of four, so you get far more time with experienced instructors and faster progress on the mountain.
We also operate across 10 winter sports resorts in France and Switzerland, with a dedicated team of British instructors in each. From your first lesson as a beginner to coaching for national competitions, we have something to suit skiers and snowboarders of every level.
Absolutely. Our group ski lessons are built around having fun, building confidence and learning the basics in a relaxed, welcoming setting. They are a brilliant way to find your feet on the slopes and meet new friends along the way.
If you would rather progress at your own pace, our private lessons are a great option too. Plenty of our beginners start in a group and love it, while others prefer one to one focus from the very first session. We are happy to chat through what works for you.
Yes, and lots of our customers do exactly that. Many families come back to PDS year after year and ask for the same instructor, because that bond makes a real difference to a child’s confidence and to how quickly everyone improves.
We always try our best to honour these requests. Just let our office staff know who you would like when you book and we will do everything we can to arrange it for your next trip.
Children can join our group lessons from age five, where the focus is on fun, safety and developing their skills in a group of similar ages. It is a wonderful way for young skiers to grow in confidence on the mountains.
For children aged three to four, we recommend private lessons. The extra attention gives our youngest guests the best possible start, so they have a brilliant first experience on snow and want to come back for more.
You do need skis or a snowboard, boots and a helmet for your lessons, but you do not need to own them. We have teamed up with SKISET to offer our guests a great discount on rental equipment, so everything is ready and waiting when you arrive.
Lift passes are not included in our lesson prices, and which pass you need depends on the resort and time of year. Have a look at the relevant resort page on our website, or drop us a message and we will happily point you in the right direction.
