since 1993.
Since OEC was formed in 1937, we've been dedicated to improving quality of life across central Oklahoma — not just by providing affordable power, but through active involvement in our communities.
In 1993, OEC adopted Operation Round Up® — and for over 30 years, our members have been rounding up their monthly electric bills to the next whole dollar. A $97.43 bill becomes $98.00, with the extra 57 cents going straight into the ORU fund. Simple idea. Lasting impact.
Every penny contributed is kept in the OEC Foundation fund — entirely separate from OEC's operating accounts — and administered by a 9-member volunteer board. Grants are not awarded for utility bill payments or political purposes.

Whether you're an OEC member or not, ORU+ lets you add extra to your monthly contribution or make a one-time donation. Every dollar goes directly to families and organizations right here in our local community.
