Team Templates are broadly used on Liquipedia. Whenever a team attends an event, or is mentioned in general, it's likely a team template will be used for that.
This page aims to assist you on how to create them, as well as how to use them.
Creating a team template
[edit]To create a team template you will need the following:
- The team's name
- Do not include the game name in team names; e.g.
Team Liquid VALORANTshould just beTeam Liquid - All team templates should be in Latin script (where possible), and without special characters; e.g.
*, =, &, !, % - In case a team name is too long, you should set a shorter name version (recommended up to 15 characters) in the Bracket Display Name field
- Do not include the game name in team names; e.g.
- The team's short name
- Short names are also commonly called team tags

- Some of our wikis have unique standards for short name. For example, making sure all team short names consist of 3 uppercased letters
