What is KERN?
The King’s Engaged Research Network (KERN) is an exciting collaboration launched in late 2016.
We foster a supportive community of King’s staff and students interested in carrying out public and community engagement with research (P&CER) by providing training, networking opportunities, and helpful resources for our members.
Who can join?
KERN is aimed at King’s researchers – clinical and technical staff and postgraduate students – who are interested in engaging different audiences with their field. We run termly workshops and share monthly newsletters which detail opportunities to get involved, information on funding, resources, and examples of good practice. You can sign up to the newsletter here.

“Being part of KERN has allowed me to keep up-to-date with training and engagement events across King’s. It is great to have a network that can support you with your activities through so many different areas of knowledge!”
Sophie Langdon – PhD Student, Faculty of Life Science & Medicine
