One of the most interesting points was how the role of agents and insurance brokers is evolving – and why collaboration with carriers is more critical than ever to innovate and help close the protection gap. As #TeamItaly hopes for many gold medals at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Allianz research looks at the reasons behind Italy’s recent economic performance and the challenges ahead. Post pandemic resilience in output, employment, and trade, combined with an improved fiscal stance, has positioned Italy as a top performer among large European economies, outpacing Spain in per capita growth. Resilient exports and improving monetary and financing conditions were pivotal. In spite of trade uncertainty, Italian companies continue to do wonders. Political stability and NGEU funds pushed down financing costs for Italy and Italians. Structural challenges remain ⚠️: productivity gains are limited, demographics point to a -16% decline in the working-age population by 2050, and digitalization is still lagging. Accelerating public and private investment in digital infrastructure, energy transition, and mobility is essential to unlock long-term sustainable growth. Today we presented Generali’s financial results for 2025, which confirm the excellent start of our strategic plan “Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence”. Once again, we achieved record figures both in the Operating Result and in the Adjusted Net Result, supported by the outstanding performance of Property & Casualty, by best-in-class Life net inflows, and by the increasing momentum of Asset & Wealth Management. I am equally pleased with the strong progress we made across the three strategic foundations of the plan - our People, Artificial Intelligence & Data, and Sustainability. Building on this impressive delivery and our very strong capital position, we are proposing a dividend of 1.64 Euro per share, almost 15 percent higher than the previous one, and we will also submit to the vote of our investors a 500 million euro share buyback, to be implemented this year. As we navigate a world of increased geopolitical complexity, we maintain our full focus on the execution of our plan and the achievement of its targets, and we are fully confident in our ability to do it, just as we did for our three previous strategic cycles. 👏 Great illustration of what can be a strong & concrete AI collaboration between #Mistral and one of our key partners - Stellantis 💡 For any emerging tech trends, there is always a debate between being: 1. being agnostic and managing an intermediate "layer" to interconnect with different competitors in the same place - usually and a more secure option, but also more expensive in the long term and, very often, limiting the impact of the usecases. 2. entering into a full & deep collaboration with one leader - usually much more efficient in the short-term, but requiring the ability to plan in advance an some alternative exit scenarios -just in case- and a real top-down approach to make sure all units of the company are embracing technology through this selected partner. ☑️ There no good or bad option, but the choice has to be carefully made depending on the company's strategy, organisation and long-term objectives. cc Sonia REKIK Justine Ortel Jörn Dickmann

We have automated all processes and information flows to support the companies and underwriters that assist us in their evaluations and decisions. Through our platform, the bureaucracy of our sector has DISAPPEARED; we no longer waste time writing emails and dedicate our time to performing for those who support us. We have elevated underwriting to a higher level, using official data sourced from public records. To start working on a request, we only need a tax ID, which initiates the entire work process and provides underwriters with everything they need. With this technological infrastructure, everyone has full control of the data, and transparency reigns supreme. Italy is one of the European countries most exposed to #natcat risks, a challenge compounded by one of the lowest levels of protection - the gap between total economic and insured losses is at 78%, compared to 46% in France and 57% in Germany. There is a lot more to do to prevent, mitigate and adapt to risks like flood and landslide. Nonetheless the introduction of the new #natcat law in Italy is a significant step in the right direction.
