The scope is broad by design — healthcare and hospital robotics, hospitality, logistics and warehouse automation, industrial robotics, smart-building systems, and AI-enabled platforms — targeting sectors where Southeast Asia's labour constraints and productivity needs are creating real demand: healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, and smart cities. The plan runs beyond a first sale. We're starting with pilot deployments and proof-of-concept projects, then building toward local technical capability, and eventually exploring localisation, assembly, and even manufacturing in Malaysia as a regional hub — with GM Biovalley as our strategic partner on the ground. That question sums up most of my two weeks this June at Aurora Rising, a robotics program by AB6 Robotics at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Before this, my robotics experience was mostly working with electronic components and programming microcontrollers for simple tasks. Aurora Rising was a completely different world. I'm grateful to have attended the program on a merit scholarship. We got hands-on with industry-grade robots like ROBOX (3R Manipulator), OpenManipulator-X, Addverb's HEAL Cobot, Agile's FRANKA, LEAP Hand, and the SNP Robot, solving real industrial-style challenges. We explored Sim2Real simulations, experienced a VR robot, and watched a Unitree quadruped robot in action. What fascinated me most was learning concepts like forward and inverse kinematics and rotation matrices, and then immediately implementing them in Python on real robots. We also had sessions with researchers and industry professionals in robotics, giving us valuable insights into the field's latest advancements and real-world applications. Some challenges took us just an hour. Others took nearly two days of debugging, discussing, and repeatedly asking, "Why isn't it working?" Looking back, those were the moments I learned the most. Not just about robotics, but about problem-solving and logical thinking. The cohort enhanced the experience. We had high school students, college students, and working professionals learning together, each bringing different perspectives. Our mentors never handed us the solution. They nudged us in the right direction until everything finally clicked. The first day felt overwhelming when we were told we'd cover almost a semester's worth of robotics in just two weeks. By the end, seeing how much we'd grown made every challenge worth it. Even though my team didn't win the final ROBOX carrom challenge, the progress I made over those two weeks felt like a much bigger victory. Those two weeks taught me that engineering isn't about having all the answers. It's about asking the right questions when things don't work. And it wasn't all code and robots. From nightly socials — playing Mafia and Dumb Charades was my favourite — to exploring Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, making lifelong friends, and ending every evening with our little shikanji tradition, the experience struck the perfect balance between learning and fun. A huge thank you to Prof. Harish Palanthandalam-Madapusi, Mr. Suyash Patidar, and all our mentors, Daxes Champaneri, Devarsh Patel, Darsh Kadakia, Aayushi Shah, Samay Jain, and Harshada Kale for creating such an incredible learning environment and for expertly not giving us the answers while smiling as we struggled to debug. Grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the opportunity to work with some incredibly cool robots. By year-end, first Made in India chip will be out in the market 28NM is not a node, it is marketing gimmick. also it is customer requirement what it needs, foundary makes that, if your customer needs power or speed. it depends on customer. Now you are saying 4nm, obviously it has different customers. Now if you dont have enough customers, that you have to use only 28nm. Foundary is just like a facility , you dont have 4nm, so you will not have 4nm customers. its all business. 28nm is a mature node and low cost testing and verification. Design Costs: Significantly lower, with an average IC design cost of ~$30 million for a 28nm planar device. For 4nm Design Costs: Extremely high, with 7nm chip design costs estimated at $271 million, and 4nm likely higher due to increased complexity Businesses must choose nodes based on performance needs, cost constraints, and market positioning, with 28nm serving broader, cost-conscious markets and 4nm targeting cutting-edge, high-margin applications. 4nm: Primarily used for high-performance applications like AI chips (e.g., Nvidia GPUs), flagship smartphone processors (e.g., Apple A-series, Qualcomm Snapdragon), and advanced networking or HPC (high-performance computing) chips.
