Navaneeth L V shared thisI got this super cool invite from my alma mater, MiCA, for the global alumni summit in December this year. The personalised invite had a surprise...a picture of me from my application form back then...super creative...and there is no way I can now refrain from going back to where the language began and in a sense the place that shaped my career. Hope to catch up with more Micans on campus this December 19-21, to reminisce, and collectively imagine the future.

Navaneeth L V reposted thisNavaneeth L V reposted thisChronicling Hyderabad as it grew over the last 50 years is an extremely proud milestone for us The Hindu didn’t become part of Hyderabad just by reporting on it. Over five decades, we became part of its mornings, its conversations, its debates and its memories — while watching Hyderabad transform into the ambitious city of the future it is today. Through all that change, being welcomed into people’s homes every morning remains as special and joyful as ever. 50 years of Hyderabad. 50 years of stories. And many more still to be told. Navaneeth L V reposted thisNavaneeth L V reposted thisChennai is Chennaiing I've been waiting to say that. 😊 Today, we kick off our month-long celebration of a city with a character quite unlike any other — and we are starting with an ad I absolutely love Look closely at the artwork. The auto, the bus, the beach, the bajji kadai. Music, movies, food, history, people — layered, slightly chaotic and full of little discoveries. Much like the city itself Ogilvy found a wonderfully simple line to bring it all together — “Chennai is Chennaiing.” But we didn't want to just talk about Chennai. We wanted people to experience it. So through August, there'll be a moonlight movie on the beach, a run through historic landmarks, a celebration at Royapuram Railway Station, where Chennai's first train journey began, a saree run, food, music, games and an exhibition from The Hindu's 147-year-old archives and much more..: The Hindu has chronicled this city for generations and hence Made of Chennai is even more special for us It's our love letter to the city — and an invitation to everyone to come out and Chennai with us ❤️ #MadeOfChennai #ChennaiIsChennaiing #TheHindu #KondurSpeaks Navaneeth L V Siva Sundar Rajesh Menon Priya Srikanth Aparajita Biswas Vikram Murali Sagar Chabria Lavanya U John Justin Puneet Kapoor Sooraj Pillai Tithi Ghosh Vasanth Poodipeddi Krishti Karmakar Malvika Anil Kumar Sougandh Pramod Adarsh Mahendra Murli Krishnan Satish Mendon Srimathi Sridharan

Navaneeth L V reposted thisSome stories deserve to be read again. And some editions deserve to find their way into the hands of a new generation. The Hindu’s August 15, 1947 Independence Day Edition is one such piece of history. Through its pages, readers can revisit the photographs, defining moments and voices that captured India at the dawn of Independence. But for me, what makes this initiative particularly exciting is how we are taking this historic product to audiences today. Our partnership with Zepto brings together two very different strengths — The Hindu’s legacy, archives and content heritage with Zepto’s reach, convenience and modern distribution network. It is a great example of how the right partnership can help reimagine the distribution of archival content and make something rooted in history accessible in a way that is relevant to today’s consumers. Printed then. Reprinted now. Delivered today. Because preserving history is one thing. Finding new ways to put it in people’s hands is another. Proud to see this collaboration come together. Own a piece of history. #TheHindu #Zepto #Partnership #IndependenceDay #15August1947Navaneeth L V reposted thisThis Independence Day, get a reprint of The Hindu's August 15, 1947, edition only on Zepto! Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisMICA | The School of Ideas MICA is the Narnia of MBA Schools. A fantastical land of green trees and brick buildings; and several secret spots to discover over the two years you earn - in the holy land… …or the sin city - it really depends on the hostel you belong to. But that’s an inside joke. Like much of culture that remains opaque on islands, MICA’s hermetic presence in the midst of Shela gaon meant that we learnt from those who came before us. In its insularity, made exotic by rituals only we know, the curriculum lavished a layer of esoteric that gave us a language only we spoke. MICA is a breath of fresh air in a high AQI world - so when an Alumni Meet comes a’callin, one cannot be blamed for wanting to move everything around and run back to the second home. To the place it all started Jaya Deoras - Deshmukh Thank you for the earliest pictures from our campus days - feels like a huddle in a bubble.

Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisPersatuan Cricket Indonesia is proud to congratulate Suresh Subramanian, selected as one of 20 ICC Umpire Level 2 Master Educators from across the ICC’s five regions. The ICC’s new Umpire Level 2 Course is the highest level of umpire education and accreditation currently offered by the ICC to its Members. It builds on the Foundation and Level 1 umpiring pathways, providing a further structured opportunity for umpire development. The global training in Manila brought together 20 selected Master Educators from 13 nations, representing both Full and Associate Members. They were prepared to deliver the new programme consistently across different Member environments, using common course-delivery methods, materials and assessment competencies. This programme is significant for Associate Members. The ICC says it aims to ensure that all Members have equal access to high-quality, consistent umpire training and education, while strengthening officiating standards and creating clear opportunities for umpires to continue their development. The first regional Level 2 course will take place in Manila from 31 October to 3 November, featuring 18 officials from eight ICC Members. Congratulations, Suresh. We are proud of your achievement and your contribution to the development of cricket. #CricketIndonesia #PersatuanCricketIndonesia #ICC #Umpiring #AssociateCricket #CricketDevelopment

Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisThis is me in 2015. Wildly optimistic, a little naive, and completely sure the whole world was within reach if I just wanted it hard enough. MICA | The School of Ideas, my postgrad alma mater in India, just invited me to its 35th anniversary celebration, and it took me straight back to her. If I could talk to her today, I wouldn't sugarcoat it. I'd tell her about the layoff. The move to another continent. More than a year of unemployment. A year of physical disability and multiple surgeries. But I'd tell her the rest too. She'd meet colleagues who turn into real friends and mentors who keep betting on her. She'd work at Disney, Google, Microsoft and Electronic Arts, the names she used to look at with awe. And she'd go from an arts graduate to building products in tech. Mostly, I'd tell her that the highs after the lowest lows feel so much sweeter. MICA will always be my first step toward figuring out who I am. Grateful for it, and a little proud of that girl for wanting it so badly. Thank you MICA Alumni Engagement Committee for this trip down memory lane! #MICA #MICAAlumni #35YearsOfMICA

Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisMICA is hosting the Grand Alumni Meet – a celebration of 35 years of MICA – a place which, for many of us, defined who we are. Yesterday many of us received an email from Jaya Deoras - Deshmukh and my dear friend Kedar Lele (President MICA Alumni Association), which was unique and quintessential MICA - inviting us to the alumni meet and which said “And we have a little gift for you: Say hello to your younger self when you first walked into MICA!” (with a picture of from our application form 30 years back). This wasn’t just a picture – this wasn’t even nostalgia – this was a journey to a time when we just “were” before life really happened. And that is the most remarkable thing about MICA – it always let you be who you “were” – whether it was 30 years back in 1996 when we entered those gates, or whether it is today for the current students. I have been to MICA several times since, especially in the last few years – and I always choose to stay on campus and hang out at Chota in the night – and when I see the kids who hang out there now, it could very well have been us 30 years back. That is the timeless magic of the place – what makes MICA what it is – a place which lets you just “be”, even today, I am looking forward to meeting many more who have lived two of their best years amongst the red brick walls. If you are an alumnus and haven’t registered yet, do register Thank you the MICA alumni committee for this very special invite (and the effort that would have gone behind this) – only our alma mater could have done something so special MICA Alumni Engagement Committee MICA | The School of Ideas

Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisI was going through my mailbox when I got this mail from MICA director and out of sheer habit I opened the email. This email was a long one. It had information about MICA, a lot of information about a lot of Micans doing wonderful roles in the corporate and in the industry. Just when I was about to stop scrolling and move on to my next email, I saw this: a younger me. It took me almost 2 decades back. It reminded me of the time when I rushed to a photo studio to get this photo of me submitting my application on the last day. It reminded me of the time when I was at the Mica campus with my mother for the GE and PI rounds. It reminded me of the time when I first met PAT and was so enamoured by him. It reminded me of the time when I interacted with Dwarika Uniyal Chandan Chatterjee and Deval Kartik who were on my panel that evening. It reminded me of the countless moments that MICA | The School of Ideas gave me. I'm not a person who generally talks about memories but this one got out of me! Hello indeed, younger me!

Navaneeth L V liked thisNavaneeth L V liked thisAh, this brings back so many memories! I was working as a software engineer back then, and I remember taking a day off from work just to attend my MICA | The School of Ideas interview. I hadn’t even written my SOP! I came back late from work the previous evening, took an early morning flight to Ahmedabad, checked into a hotel, and then took an auto to the campus (Uber to campus wasn’t reliable back then). Once I reached MICA, I found myself sitting on the concrete benches outside the SH area, filling out my SOP just before the interview. There was no ChatGPT back then, no elaborate preparation, and certainly no rehearsed answers. I just went in as my true, authentic self. Curious, inquisitive, and excited about the possibilities. Looking back, it’s incredible how a series of unplanned events at the last minute ended up becoming such an important chapter of my life. Some memories really do stay with you. ❤️ #MICA #MICAlumni
