Deepak Lamba shared this13 years. That's a long time in SaaS. Long enough to see categories born, hyped, and consolidated. Long enough to watch retention go from a metric on a dashboard to the single most important word in modern growth. None of it would exist without the conviction Sunil Thomas Anand Jain and Suresh Kondamudi had 13 years ago, that brands deserved a smarter way to build customer relationships. And through all of it, through every platform shift, every market cycle, every quarterly wall we ran into and then ran through, one thing has stayed constant: the brands that bet on CleverTap, and the CTzens who showed up to earn that bet every single day. To our customers, thank you. You didn't just buy a platform. You trusted us with your most valuable asset: the relationship you have with your users. We don't take that lightly. Not on day 1. Not on day 4,745. To every CTzen, past and present, this company is what it is because of the work you put in when no one was watching. The journey you stayed late to fix. The deal you closed on a Sunday. The customer you saved when the easy thing was to let them go. The product idea you fought for. And to the next chapter: the AI era of customer engagement is here, and CleverTap is not watching it happen. We're building it. CleverAI isn't a feature drop. It's a re-architecture of what retention looks like when intelligence sits inside every decision, every journey, every moment that matters to a user. The best companies aren't defined by the years behind them. They're defined by the conviction they carry into the years ahead. Ours is just getting sharper. Here's to 13. And to the work that makes the next 13 matter even more. 💜 #CleverTap #13YearsOfCleverTap #LifeAtCleverTap #CleverAI #Retention #SaaS. Deepak Lamba shared thisI've talked to hundreds of brands prepping for IPL 2026. The question they're all asking now is different than it was a year ago. They're not asking: "How do we run a big IPL campaign?" They're asking: "Can our system actually think fast enough to keep up with the match?" The gap isn't between brands that run campaigns and brands that don't anymore. It's between brands with systems that can execute 1:1 fan engagement & personalization in live production, and brands still "evolving toward it." This season, that gap determines winners and losers. If you're looking to turn IPL attention into lasting customer value, this 2026 Strategy Guide is the place to start. #CleverTap #IPLMarketing #CustomerEngagement #Personalization #IPL2026Deepak Lamba shared thisBetween IPL 2025 and IPL 2026, customer engagement crossed a boundary. 1.54 trillion messages. 19 channels. Most segment-based. Buried in noise. 1:1 personalization cuts through. That's the IPL 2026 fan engagement opportunity. We've put together a strategy guide based on what actually worked in IPL 2025 and what's possible in IPL 2026 with agentic Al. Deepak Lamba shared thisCleverTap is named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Personalisation Engines. Not because we’ve been around the longest. But because we’re built for what’s next. 2026 isn’t about campaigns. It’s about agentic AI making decisions in real time. The real question for every enterprise: Is your platform executing 1:1 personalization in live production — or still “evolving toward it”? The gap is widening between: • Platforms that send messages • Platforms that make decisions Personalization at scale isn’t history. It’s architecture. And the future is already live. #CleverTap #CleverAI #Gartner #AgenticAI #PersonalizationAtScale

Deepak Lamba shared this“The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in war.” Last week, I walked into a room buzzing with energy. 25 sales warriors sat down — notebooks open, eyes sharp, ready to learn. This wasn’t just another training. It was a war room. On the agenda: Mastering our new product launches and Building AI-first sales skills Stress-testing every pitch, every objection, every scenario that could come our way Hour after hour, they pushed harder. They debated, challenged, role-played, failed, then rose sharper than before. Because great teams know: the real battle isn’t won in front of customers — it’s won here, in preparation. And while the market will always be competitive, one thing is certain — teams who prepare relentlessly will always have the edge. Deepak Lamba liked thisDeepak Lamba liked thisEnterprise brands are sitting on more customer data today than ever before, yet most of it sits completely silent in databases. The real challenge is taking real-time action on it over collecting data. On July 28th, NCINGA together with CleverTap hosted 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 bringing together 60 top marketing, CX, and digital leaders at Cinnamon Grand Colombo to rethink how we engage audiences. The big takeaway? Campaign-centric marketing built on rigid schedules and broad segmentation is giving way to something far more effective: autonomous, lifecycle-driven engagement. Great engagement needs both structure and intelligence. NCINGA lays down the secure, well-governed data foundation, while CleverTap acts as the real-time AI engine on top, listening to live signals and automating the next best action. By cutting out the operational drag of manual campaign execution, marketing teams get their time back for what really matters: strategy, creative storytelling, and brand building. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: - Deepak Lamba, (CRO, CleverTap) and Isuru Ponnamperuma (VP Strategic Solutions, NCINGA) set the stage by tackling a reality every transformation leader faces: acquiring customers is more expensive than ever, making retention the ultimate growth engine. - Swaminathan Raghunathan (VP Customer Success, CleverTap) showed live how AI decisioning plugs lifecycle leaks before churn even happens. - Our panel featuring Isuru Dissanayaka (Senior General Manager of Product Marketing at SLT-Mobitel) and Randil Boteju (CDO at Commercial Bank PLC), moderated by Rohan Ganatra (Senior Director of Sales at CleverTap), offered an inside look at how telco and banking leaders are shifting from single transactions towards continuous customer trust. NCINGA’s Head of Marketing, Gayathrie Dissanayake, captured the spirit of the evening best in her closing words: "Technology alone isn't the sole differentiator, execution is. Most organisations already possess the customer data they need; the real opportunity lies in building a secure data foundation that turns that information into intelligent, real-time customer engagement." A huge thank you to everyone who brought their perspectives and energy to the conversation. Because ultimately, the future of marketing isn't about launching more campaigns, it's about making every single interaction count. #NCINGA #CleverTap #TheGrowthCollective #LifecycleMarketing #CustomerRetention #AgenticAI #MarTech #EnterpriseGrowth

Deepak Lamba liked thisDeepak Lamba liked thisBlinkit didn’t have a retention problem. It had an activation problem. The signal was hiding in plain sight: In many e-commerce apps, only 34% of new users register in the first week after installation. The other 66% stay anonymous. That matters more than most teams admit. Because if users never cross from install to sign-up, you don’t just lose a login. You lose personalization, relevance, and the chance to build any real lifecycle with them. Blinkit used CleverTap to make the first experience clearer. Not louder. Clearer. Help users understand the app. Show them product choices. Guide them to the next step without making them think too hard. That’s what good onboarding does. It reduces friction at the exact moment when intent is highest. And the results show why this matters: - 6% increase in retention - 53% increase in Week 1 new user logins - 2.64% boost in conversions through journeys The lesson is simple. Activation is not about getting users to “do something.” It’s about making the right next step obvious enough that they don’t hesitate. That is where lifecycle design stops being a messaging layer and starts becoming a growth lever. If you are curious about what companies like SNITCH, Blinkit, Nykaa, Zepto, Lenskart.com and similar brands are doing in 2026. Deepak Lamba liked thisDeepak Lamba liked thisRaise your hand if you have seen the Zomato anniversary newspaper ad by now. Raise it again if you've also read a hundred posts sharing their opinion on it. If you don't know what I am talking about, it's definitely your first session on LinkedIn today. Whether the creative worked is debatable. But, did it grab more eyeballs than it intended to? Definitely. The real distribution happens after someone clicks a picture, posts it on LinkedIn, debates it on X, or shares it on WhatsApp. I have seen so many print ads only because they landed on my LinkedIn feed. Whether the usage of red background and no logo was a smart move or not, I would leave that to the experts. But, did it get people talking more than a regular print ad would have? Absolutely. Maybe that was the point all along. As someone who spends most of her time thinking about retention and customer engagement, I love understanding how content is in the middle of all of this. I also love seeing campaigns like this as they play a huge role in making these brands memorable. #GurKaGyaan

Deepak Lamba liked thisDeepak Lamba liked thisFor the last 15 years, most customer engagement software has been built around one mental model: - Create a campaign - Pick an audience - Choose a channel - Send the message - Measure the result That model is not dead. But it is no longer enough. The problem is that customers do not live in campaigns. They move continuously: - from curiosity to intent, - from purchase to onboarding, - from habit to fatigue, - from loyalty to churn risk, and often in ways that change day by day. A campaign-based operating model is too slow and too blunt for that reality. This is why many consumer brands feel the same frustration. They have ⭐ More data than ever ⭐ More channels than ever ⭐ More automation than ever ⭐ More dashboards than ever And still, the customer experience often feels disconnected. Why? Because the stack was built to execute campaigns, not to make continuous customer decisions. That distinction matters. A modern engagement system should not just ask: Which campaign should we send? It should instead ask: ✨ What is happening with this customer right now? ✨ What signal has changed? ✨ What outcome are we trying to improve? ✨ What is the next best action? ✨ Which channel should carry it? ✨ Should we engage at all? ✨ How do we learn from what happens next? That is a very different architecture. It requires unified customer context. It requires real-time behavioral understanding. It requires orchestration across channels. It requires measurement that feeds back into the next decision. My view is simple: 👉 The next generation of customer engagement will not be campaign-led. 👉 It will be decision-led. Campaigns will still exist. But they will become one expression of a larger system. A system that understands, decides, acts, and learns continuously. That is where the market is going. And the brands that make this shift first will have a very real advantage. The brands that do not will keep sending more messages and wondering why customers are tuning out.

Deepak Lamba liked thisDeepak Lamba liked thisI am what i am because of the insane bosses & colleagues I've worked with Careers don't get built in isolation. Mine got built by people who saw something in me before I saw it in myself — and then refused to let me play small. Shubhankar Banerjee took a bet on me back in the day. He understood my risk appetite before I'd even figured it out myself, and gave me room to run with it. Puneet Kataria took a bet on me for the SDR role when I had zero experience. No track record, no proof. Just belief. And then he taught me more in a few months than I'd learned in years. Vipul Gupta gave me direction I didn't have. I wanted to be an AE. He saw leadership potential I couldn't see and said, "Try this for a few months — if it doesn't work, we'll find you something else." We never had to. The rest is history. Khadim Batti He said something I will remember forever. I will tattoo this if I have to " Go Deep and then go wide". I focused on one thing and one thing only "SDR". Time to go wide now Khadim. Thank you! Chaitanya Jha the only one who kept in touch long after we stopped working together. Nothing against the others, but that one fact tells you everything about the man. The moment I stop thinking, that's exactly where he starts. I'm yet to find a problem I can't brainstorm my way through with him. To this day, he's my go-to whenever I'm stuck. Germain Brion the most bad a** boss I ever had, and the one who taught me what excellence actually means. He has a personality I could never pull off. He taught me that money is the by-product of a job done well, never the goal. If you've worked with Germain, you're going places — and I'm not exaggerating. Ask anyone who has. They will not shut up about how bloody good he is. Deepak Lamba told me I was selling myself short. That some people simply can't handle me, and that's okay. That I was sitting on a gold mine — my network and my authenticity — and didn't even know it. He was right. So let me say it one more time, because it's the lesson under all of these: Products come and go. Relationships stay forever. Every name above is proof of that. Tag your bosses. The ones who bet on you before you'd earned it. 👇 #sales

One insight that consistently stands out when discussing India market entry for fintechs is the role of partnerships. In our first guest blog for the year, Madhuleena articulates this clearly: in India, partnerships are not a downstream GTM tactic- they are often the primary market entry lever. Why? Because partnerships help fintechs: • Navigate regulatory and compliance complexity faster • Borrow trust in a relationship-driven buying environment • Access distribution without prematurely scaling a large sales team • Learn real buyer behavior before locking the GTM motion For global fintechs entering India, the first 90–180 days shouldn’t be about aggressive selling. They should be about ecosystem mapping, partner validation and signal creation- exactly where strong partnerships compound outcomes. If you’re thinking about India entry, this perspective is worth reading. 🔗 Guest blog: https://lnkd.in/gA367trv Would love to hear how others have leveraged partnerships in regulated or emerging markets. Thanks Madhuleena Medhi for bringing this perspective. Partnership Leaders

Most brands are considering to launch an app But few know if it’s 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. In our latest "Dilse Omni talks" podcast, I asked Abhijeet Singh ( cofounder Appbrew : Why do companies hesitate to build apps? “They aren’t skeptical - but dont know how to measure success.” And that’s where most go wrong. At top D2C brands with App benchmarks 👇 • Apps drive 50%+ of total D2C sales • Deliver 2-3x better conversion rates • Give 30-40% higher AOV • Achieve 2x higher retention • And boost LTV by 2-3x Yet many brands still don’t track these numbers. Because having an app is easy. But having a successful app needs measurement. Check out the full episode link in comments 👇 & learn how to make your app your biggest growth driver.
