Candidate = Investor Strong candidates don’t search for “another job״. They make a long-term career decision, the same way an investor evaluates where to place their capital. So they look at a company through a clear set of questions, including: • Market: Is it big enough, and is the timing right? • Product: Is it truly differentiated? • Execution: Can this team deliver at scale? • Leadership: Have they done it before? • Upside: Is the risk worth the return? • Culture: Do the values align with mine? And here’s what most companies miss: Candidates answer these questions long before they ever meet a recruiter. Their perception is shaped by the signals we put into the world; media coverage, podcasts, conferences, LinkedIn, and conversations in the industry. And this is where strategic employer branding matters, shaping the early signals that influence how top talent evaluates the company, long before they enter the funnel. I discussed exactly that yesterday at TechGym, a community that creates space for in-depth, practical, and honest conversation. Thanks Shiri Grosbard & Michal Gonen for the stage, it was fun 🙂

Who is Shlomo Kramer? Why bet my future on Cato? What the heck is SASE? And why Prague? These weren’t just questions, they were the reality we faced when we opened the Prague site. A strong global company, but with almost zero local brand presence. We learned quickly that reputation doesn’t travel on its own. Trust has to be earned locally. And building a new market isn’t about noise. It’s about consistency, credibility, and earning long-term trust. So the work wasn’t glamorous. It was deliberate. Showing up. Spending time on the ground. Listening to engineers. Building relationships with local media and tech influencers. Translating Cato’s global story into what actually matters here. Not copy-paste. Not assumptions. Real market-building. We’re not “done” - and we probably never will be. But the progress is real: ✅ More candidates now come in already familiar with Cato. ✅ Conversations are more informed and focused. ✅ Local teams speak more confidently about our impact and direction. This momentum didn’t happen alone. Huge thanks to Klára Ondráčková, Anastasiia Klubochkina, and Marta Lipovska for their deep local understanding and great partnership on the ground. 📸 In the photo: me with Shlomo Kramer (CEO), Eyal Heiman (CTO), and Lukáš Mrázek (Site Lead), engaging with local media and the team, as we strengthen the foundation for long-term growth.

The news leaked. Cato Networks acquired Aim Security, and the story came out a week before our official launch. We saw it coming. We tracked the market. We felt the pressure building. We noticed similar deals leak ahead of time. So yes, we expected it and we were ready. But still, when the spotlight shines on you, the pressure is real. Momentum can easily slip away if you're not prepared. So you need to act fast, not follow the script, but adjust on the fly. Shape the story, and manage the conversations inside and outside. Our flexible approach paid off! On the leak week and after, we hit 2x the exposure we planned for. 💪 This experience reminded me of a conversation I had with Meir Orbach from CTech by Calcalist on my podcast (6 years later, still gold). He shared who the best sources are, how he cross-checks information, and gave outstanding advice on how startups can earn coverage in Tier-1 outlets. One of my favorite episodes! https://lnkd.in/dq5YH2m2 Ofir Auslander, Yishay Yovel, Dave Greenfield, Eddy Rivera

I’m not a classic PR person, which means I can be a bit of a pain. But it also means I ask the questions others might skip, like: What’s the point of great coverage if no one sees it?? In 2025, just getting covered isn’t enough. With people discovering news through AI and social feeds, visibility takes more than a good headline. It’s not just about winning over the reporter anymore, you’ve got to win over the outlets’ editors and social teams too. They’re the ones who decide whether your story gets buried or lands on the homepage, in the newsletter, or across the outlet’s TikTok. I know it’s a shift, especially for those of us who’ve spent years chasing the headline. But here’s the truth: 70% of the work is telling the story. 30% is about supporting its exposure. In practice, that means: → Suggesting a clear angle or headline the outlet can use → Sharing a short, sharp quote and a visual they can post → Checking the outlet’s social accounts once it’s live → Encouraging a second wave of promotion That’s what creates real reach and the difference between 600 views and 100,000.

Yesterday, we announced a $359M funding round at a $4.8B+ valuation, and the news hit everywhere in Israel. It made homepage headlines, triggered mobile alerts, showed up all over social media, aired on TV, and even made it into the print. Why all the attention? Because this is more than just a milestone for Cato Networks, it’s a signal to the entire tech industry. It reflects resilience, recovery, and strength during a challenging geopolitical period. Thanks to Ofir Auslander for the great collaboration and Idan Hershkovich, Greg Eden,Eddy Rivera, Dave Greenfield and the entire Cato's team! https://lnkd.in/d_wAFi37

It’s a strategy. It’s a long-term investment. And it only works if you believe in it. Two years ago, we started a pilot to support our team in taking the stage at global events, not as a checkbox, but because we saw it as a real opportunity to build Cato’s brand. The goal was clear: » To position Cato as a recognized voice in cybersecurity and AI security. » To reflect the real expertise our people bring to the table. » Attract strong, curious talent who want to grow and be part of our journey. Sometimes we lead the full process, from brainstorming ideas to shaping abstracts and submitting talks. Other times, our people drive it on their own, and we step in to amplify their wins through social campaigns. Fast forward to 2025, we’ve been accepted to 14 global events since January! In the photos: me with Etay Maor, Tal Darsan, and Matan Mittelman at RSA and BSides in San Francisco — two of the biggest cybersecurity events that took place over the past few days. None of this would have happened without the partnership with Sharone Revah Zitzman, Eyal Aviv, Melisa Sukman Epand, and the amazing comms team — Greg Eden, Eddy Rivera, and Dave Greenfield!

How do you tell the story of a $3B company? How do you capture the journey of an industry leader like Cato? It starts - and ends - with talent. Sure, every company claims to hire the best talent. But telling your company’s story through your people? That’s a whole different strategy. With our workforce at 1,250 (a 42% increase!), comes a challenge: attracting people who fit our unique Cato DNA. After three years here, and plenty of trial and error, I know that the most powerful stories aren’t written; they’re lived by the people at the heart of them. So, as part of my job, I create authentic opportunities to capture the unique POV of Cato’s team and amplify their voices. This approach touches the emotions of our audience and our team. It’s the kind of storytelling that spreads across social platforms in seconds. This was the focus of my own sessions at Cato’s SKO in Budapest: Storytelling. The highlight for me? Not just that my sessions were fully booked (what an honor!) but seeing so many Catonians eager to step up and become the face of Cato Networks. Because great stories don’t just inform. They connect. They resonate. They inspire action. 📸 Moments from SKO that we turned into impactful content.

ואולי זו המשמעות האמיתית של Think Like a Founder. לא לגרום לעובדים להתנהג כאילו החברה שלהם. אלא לבנות חברה שאנשים ירגישו שהיא גם שלהם. אפילו הרבה אחרי שהם כבר לא עובדים בה. ❤️

Sharon Halbani אהבתי את זהSharon Halbani אהבתי את זהOur Global PMM team clearly is in the mode as some of us met! Now we are experiencing a profound shift: what happens when AI becomes both a digital coworker and an attacker’s advantage? AI Security: Discovering AI usage and setting governance policies matter. But runtime control is critical: protection depends on catching and stopping harmful interactions as they happen. The quality of that control matters. Does your vendor have the security expertise and research depth to catch emerging techniques, the kind Cato AI Labs investigates and discovers? And can its AI engine deliver accuracy you can trust, speed users don’t feel, and production at scale? Frontier AI: When AI accelerates attacks, agentic defense must keep an attacker’s next move from becoming your next incident. Security teams need fewer opportunities for attackers and less manual work connecting signals. Cato’s Agentic Threat Prevention delivers that value by adapting protections and stopping attack progression at runtime. Agentic CVE Mitigation shifts the measure from time-to-patch to time-to-protect, with protections in as little as 45 minutes. Less exposure while patching proceeds. Proud of our Global PMM team for connecting innovation to stronger protection, simpler operations, and confident AI adoption. Our shared year-round mission: Everything Security at Cato Networks! Identity and access controls alone don't cut it when local coding agents can execute risky actions in real time. To truly protect your environment, you need an approach that combines visibility (what exists in my environment), posture (what risk does it carry), and runtime control (stopping risky actions before they happen). My latest blog post breaks down Cato Networks's 3-stage framework for agentic AI security. Check it out below:

Today, I had the pleasure of presenting at Cato Networks AI Day. My talk focused on AI efficiency, and I’d like to share three key takeaways that anyone can apply today. 1. Context is king Treat context with respect—input tokens and cache tokens are often the dominant part of your bill. By being intentional about what you send to the model, you can significantly improve both cost efficiency and performance. 2. Choose the right model for the task It might sound obvious, but many organizations default to always using the newest and most powerful model. In many cases, upgrading models can add up to ~40% in cost. Before switching, ask yourself: is the performance gain worth the premium? Run proper evaluations and benchmarking on your specific use case to ensure you’re upgrading for the right reasons. 3. Always check your default settings Most tools come with strong default configurations. For example, in many models, “thinking” (or reasoning capabilities) is turned on by default, and the effort level is often set to high. Before starting a session, make it a habit to review your settings to ensure they are the right fit for your task. Simple principles, but highly effective when applied consistently.

Cato has achieved AWS Security Competency in AI Security status in the Agentic AI category. For our product teams, the really interesting part is what we had to build to earn that badge. Cato AI Security runs on AWS and helps secure AI built on AWS, including environments using Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, while keeping AI security connected to the same platform securing the rest of the enterprise. That's how we think about architecture at Cato: build the pieces to work as one system instead of asking customers to stitch them together later. Proud of the teams who keep pushing that architecture forward. https://lnkd.in/deSa_ysv

We are at a Mythos moment ⚡ Advanced models like Mythos may accelerate attack workflows, but they can also create new opportunities for defenders. The real differentiator will not be the model alone, but the scaffolding around it: the visibility, telemetry, workflows, and inline enforcement that turn model intelligence into defensive action. I collaborated with my colleague Avishay Zawoznik at Cato Networks on this post, where we explore both the risks and the longer-term defensive potential of these models. Agentic attacks do not expose a lack of security tools. They expose what happens when those tools depend on human-speed workflows, disconnected context, and manual response. Frontier AI models like Mythos and GPT-5.5-Cyber are changing the economics of cyberattacks. They can compress the attack lifecycle, lower the skill required to execute sophisticated activity, and enable threats that automate and adapt. That creates a different kind of problem for security teams. In this 15-minute webinar, Cato Networks CEO Shlomo Kramer and VP of Threat Intelligence Etay Maor will discuss how agentic attacks are evolving, why fragmented architectures fall behind, and what security leaders need to understand now. The attack model is changing. Security architecture has to change with it. Register now: https://bit.ly/4erFaos
