Facebook Custom Audiences

Sync your Segments directly to Facebook with the Facebook Custom Audiences integration. (Pro)

With the Pro plan, you can connect Kit directly to Facebook Custom Audiences. You can also add a Facebook Pixel to your Kit Landing Pages.

What the integration does

The integration syncs the subscribers in your Segments with your Facebook custom audiences. Adding or removing a subscriber from the Segment adds or removes them from the synced Facebook custom audience, so your ad sets stay in step with your list without exporting and importing CSVs.

How to set it up

Go to Apps under the Automate tab in the navigation. Then look for the Facebook app and click Install.

You'll be asked for your consent to connect your Facebook Ads account with Kit. Click Authorize Kit to access Facebook to proceed.

A window will pop up, asking you to continue using your preferred Facebook account. Click Continue as [name] to proceed.

Next, you'll be asked to grant Kit permissions. Enable the Manage ads for ad accounts that you have access to toggle. This is what allows you to sync your Segments in Kit with your Facebook Custom Audiences:

Click Done. You should then see a message confirming that your Facebook account is connected to Kit.

Click OK, and you're done.

How to sync a Kit Segment to a Facebook custom audience

Once your Kit and Facebook accounts are connected, you'll see the sync option when you create a new Segment or edit an existing one:

Note: The custom audiences you want to sync Segments to must already exist in Facebook. Create them there first if they don't.

Select the Facebook account, page, and custom audience to sync with the Segment, then click Save.

From then on, subscribers who enter your Kit Segment are added to the synced Facebook custom audience. If a subscriber leaves the Segment, Kit removes them from the audience.

Use cases

A few ways you might use the integration:

  • Target all your subscribers with ads for your most recent articles

  • Target subscribers tagged as interested in a product they haven't bought yet

  • Run a continual lookalike audience based on your most engaged subscribers
