Tempest150 is a collective of student and early-career developers building real, shippable projects together. We exist so people, especially college students, have a place to work on something bigger than a solo assignment: a real team, a real codebase, and a real project to put on a resume.
We pick projects with actual scope, not toy apps, and run them like a small engineering org: issues, code review, branch protection, and a shared architecture doc for every repo. Contributors get to work across the stack (scraping, backend APIs, LLM pipelines, frontend, infra) depending on what they want to build experience in.
Libra, Job Aggregation & Enrichment Platform
A full-stack job-aggregation platform: a Playwright-based scraping pipeline processing 1,000+ listings/day, an LLM-driven enrichment pipeline (local Ollama, prompt-engineered extraction, JSON-repair/retry handling), and a FastAPI REST API over PostgreSQL. Every repo has branch protection, PRs need review before merging to main.
Keep architecture and wiki docs updated when you change how a system works, future contributors (and future you) will thank you.
A lot of talented students don't have a place to build something with real users, real infrastructure, and real teammates before they graduate. Tempest150 is that place, a group project that actually ships, that you can point to in an interview and say "I built that."
