I'm Matteo — a Machine Learning Engineer passionate about building intelligent systems at the intersection of AI research and real-world applications.
My journey started in Rome, Italy 🇮🇹, where I studied Computer Science and Data Science, and later brought me to Zurich, Switzerland 🇨🇭, where I worked on foundation models for EMG-based human–machine interfaces at ETH Zurich. Along the way, I completed my MSc in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bologna, focusing on machine learning, deep learning, and AI systems.
I currently work as a Machine Learning Engineer at the Swiss Data Science Center, where I develop generative AI solutions for engineering applications and conduct NLP research in multilingual political science.
My main interests include ML, LLMs, and Multimodal AI. I enjoy working across the full ML lifecycle, from research and model development to optimization, deployment, and scalable production systems.
