About Lucas Simons

Lucas is a writer and game designer with over 20 years of experience writing for games and news. He currently works as a Senior Guides Writer at GameRant and as Head of PR & Communications at The Phrasemaker. He is also a published book author and University Professor/Course Coordinator for the Game Design & Writing classes at ETER Institute.

Favorite Games

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I & II, Star Wars Dark Forces I & II, Pokemon Gold & Silver. All those games marked me deeply, especially Pokemon Gold and Silver since they're still part of my childhood hoard of gaming-related treasures.

Favorite Console

Game Boy Color: It was my first gamer gift, my father brought a yellow Game Boy Color with Pokemon Red and Yellow when he came back from a trip to NY. After that, I started to play like crazy, I mean, who wouldn't be ecstatic at the sole thought of having one of the first handheld consoles ever made?

Proudest Gaming Achievement

I have played every Pokemon game in existence.
