PushOwl Pros and Cons
- Multi-channel (push + email + SMS) integrated for Shopify
- Robust automations (abandoned cart, back-in-stock, price-drop, browse abandonment)
- Unlimited subscribers on basic/free plan
- Free tier available and modest pricing for intermediate usage
- Advanced targeting and compliance features (DOI, TCPA, GDPR)
- Pricing tied to number of web push notifications can scale for high-volume sites
- Less evidence for mobile in-app messaging and very rich media support
- No indication of open-source availability or broad developer SDK/CLI tooling
- Integrations centered on the Shopify ecosystem; not ideal for non-Shopify stores
- Some advanced features are gated to higher-tier or enterprise plans
The interface is easy to use. Updates are fast to install. This piece of software is one of the best and most useful pieces of software I use on a daily basis when I am working from home.
There is occasionally an annoying where this software will say I am not connected to the internet, but I really am and all other apps and services can find my network. Maybe this will be fixed in a future update.
This software allows me to pop up and get more people to sign up for our email newsletter as well as share deals with our clients. This app has been the only way we create push notifications.
We all know there is a sea of solutions for push, you can use a script some kid wrote in a basement. But when it comes to strategic things as automation, this is the only thing that worked for me to be honest.
Well, one of the most important things in this and most businesses is knowing your audience. The segmentation part is available only at an enterprise monthly plan level.
So far only used it for web-based as in browser-based solutions, everyone knows how to do that one bullet, but automations are great on this one. Perhaps developing that are a bit more would be great.
It is easy to Integrate with all e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Woocommerce etc. Easy to send out notifications and campaigns across all subscribed Customers and can even send reminders of Abandoncart, New Launches etc.
It should have manual option to upload contacts, which is not the case only with Pushowl but every Push notification services. Prices can be worked upon specially for stores with Large visitors
Push notifications to new customers New product arrival notification Abandon cart notifications Our store is generating good revenue after getting it integrated.
I like the simplicity with which we can cteat campaigns and how it send push notifications without obstruction of the work one is doing
Nothing to dislike. Its a great free aoftware
We are collecting subscribers and sending notifications about new launches and offers
Simple and intuitive interface, easy to use (I learned to set up a campaign in 2 minutes!). App very effective especially for abandon carts.
My subscribers have increased through the use of pushwolts, but more subscribers mean more cost.
Increase in the number of contacts on the site with consequent increase in orders
PushOwl has been one of the best things we have done for our business. Not only have we added another marketing channel for campaigns, but we have collected tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue with abandoned cart notifications. For the functionality and upside of the app, the monthly rate is ridiculously cheap. One of the best things about Push Owl is that the owner, Shashank, is very proactive about updates, integrations, and improvements. It integrates with all of the top apps in the shopify ecosystem which is great for improving things like stock notifications and review reminders.
Really nothing to dislike! 100% positive experience which I don't say often.
Additional channel and reach for ad campaigns, abandoned cart recovery, review reminders, stock notifications. We've increased revenue, conversions, retention, and seo via on page content with the help of Pushowl.
PushOwl is simple enough to use that someone with little to no experience in digital marketing could use it
PushOwl lacks capabilities some other push notification service providers have
Informing customers of sales, promos, and other offers through push notifications
We've grown our push notifications through this app. It's great and super easy to use. Perfect for growing your internal marketing.
The price could be a little cheaper. They should make flat rate pricing for unlimited sends unlimited subs. I don't like the pricing model they have now charging on impressions
They solved push notifications
If compared to some other web push notification services, PushOwl focuses primarily on e-commerce websites. I really like its automatic feature, instead of having to create campaigns and schedules manually, PushOwl works automatically. I just need to create automation campaign 1 time only, then when the conditions are met, PushOwl will send notification automatically. For example when the product is back in stock or price drop. Another very useful feature is the abandoned cart reminders. I used to send abandoned cart reminders in the past via email, but the open rate on emails is quite low. So I switched to push notification with PushOwl, the clickthrough rate increased significantly, helping me recover a lot of abandoned checkouts. Most importantly, all those features work automatically. I just need to set it up once and forget it. In the past I used to be rarely interested in push notifications, because integrating into the website was not simple. However, when using PushOwl, I had a different look, its interface is very simple and easy to use, integrated into my Shopify store very quickly, it took me less than 1 day to install up everything. I regret that I didn't do this earlier.
I was unable to remove PushOwl's branding from my website, even though I had to pay $19/month for the business plan. Their website also does not mention about this issue. Only when I contact their customer service, they said that I have to upgrade to a higher plan (enterprise) to be able to remove the branding. This is not reasonable for me, just because I want to remove branding, I have to upgrade to enterprise at a very high price and unnecessary for my needs. The biggest problem with PushOwl is that it only supports websites on Shopify platform. This is also the reason why I no longer use PushOwl. Recently, due to work demands, I have moved to another platform (woocommerce), although I really want to use PushOwl but cannot because it does not support any platform other than Shopify.
I use PushOwl for my e-commerce website, in order to recover abandoned carts. The rate of abandoned carts on my website is quite high, I used to send notification reminders via email before, but it didn't work. Since using PushOwl, I have recovered quite a lot of abandoned carts. I am quite satisfied with it.
I like the fact that the interface is simple to use. Service works as described.
Analytics that Push Owl provides are pretty lacking. Much of the data that I wish it had is not convenient to get to or needs to be manually tracked.
Sending push notifications.
