Why is this a good thing for Bilt members?
As an existing or prospective Bilt member, having more transfer partners only means more flexibility for your points. Now, transfers to JetBlue aren't exclusive to Bilt — you can also transfer Amex, Capital One, Chase, and Citi rewards to JetBlue — but not all of these partnerships offer a 1:1 ratio.
In addition, Bilt cardholders can turn the rewards they earn from housing payments into valuable JetBlue flights. No other credit card company can say that.
Is it worth transferring Bilt Points to JetBlue TrueBlue?
JetBlue offers many valuable redemption options, so it can be well worth transferring Bilt Points to JetBlue TrueBlue if you have a solid booking planned. Keep in mind that on top of its own U.S. and international routes, you can also use JetBlue points to book flights with partner airlines.
Here are a few examples of different JetBlue redemptions:
Flights to Europe
For 24,300 points, you can jet off across the pond into London Town. The same fare is $295, giving you a redemption value of about 1.21 cents per point ($295 / 24,300), which is only slightly above average. However, there's nothing bad about saving money.
Short-haul flights in Asia
For just 8,000 points, you can take a short flight from Taipei to Shanghai. The cash price for the same flight is about $234, giving you an incredible redemption value of about 2.9 cents per point.
Short-haul flights in North America
For a reasonable 7,500 points or $190, you could be flying off to Cancun from Ft. Lauderdale on a short two-hour flight. That's an excellent redemption value of over 2.5 cents per point.
