Starting Jan. 1, 2027, Fine Hotels + Resorts® bookings will require a minimum two-night stay to qualify for the American Express Platinum Card's® $600 Hotel Credit. The Hotel Collection already requires a two-night stay.

Amex also made a couple of smaller updates to its travel benefits:

  • CLEAR+ is now available at 60+ airports, up from 55+.

  • The card still includes access to more than 1,550 airport lounges, but Amex has updated its language around Delta Sky Club access to specify 10 visits when flying on an eligible Delta flight.

  • Amex now highlights the size of its hotel programs — more than 1,900 Fine Hotels + Resorts properties and 1,400+ Hotel Collection properties — rather than calling out early check-in and guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout in its marketing materials.

Most of the Platinum Card's other major benefits are staying the same, including its Uber, Resy, digital entertainment, airline fee, lululemon, and Walmart+ credits.
