A Better Way to Produce Lithium

Conventional brine extraction floods the land with evaporation ponds and leaves lithium behind. Direct Lithium Extraction does more, faster, and treads softly.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About EnergyX

What is EnergyX?

EnergyX is a direct lithium extraction technology and critical minerals company. We develop GET-Lit™ and SoLiS, proprietary systems that recover lithium from brine faster and more sustainably than traditional evaporation methods. We operate across the Lithium Triangle in South America and the United States, working with partners to supply battery-grade lithium at commercial scale.

What is a Critical Minerals Company?

A critical minerals company extracts, refines or processes minerals that are essential to the economy and national security, such as lithium, nickel and cobalt. These minerals power electric vehicles, energy storage and defense systems. EnergyX is a critical minerals company focused on lithium. We use our GET-Lit™ direct lithium extraction technology to recover lithium from brine, then refine it to battery grade for a secure U.S. and global supply chain.

What is direct lithium extraction?

Direct lithium extraction (DLE) recovers lithium directly from brine without the evaporation ponds that traditional production relies on. Where conventional methods take 12 to 18 months to yield usable lithium, DLE reduces that to hours. EnergyX's GET-Lit™ technology uses a lithium-selective membrane to extract and concentrate lithium at high recovery rates, with a significantly smaller environmental footprint.

What technologies does EnergyX use for lithium extraction?

GET-Lit™ is EnergyX's core DLE technology portfolio. It includes membranes, solvents and adsorbents designed for high-throughput direct lithium extraction from brines. SoLiS handles refining and purification to battery-grade specification. Together they form a complete, end-to-end extraction and processing system.

Why is EnergyX's lithium extraction more sustainable?

Traditional lithium extraction via evaporation ponds consumes up to 400,000 gallons of freshwater per ton of lithium and occupies large areas of sensitive ecosystems. EnergyX's patented DLE and GET-Lit™ technologies reduce that to around 800 gallons per ton, a reduction of over 90%, with a significantly smaller physical footprint and a fraction of the extraction time. Learn more on our sustainability page.

Why invest in EnergyX?

Lithium demand is forecast to grow sharply as EV adoption accelerates. EnergyX is positioned to supply that demand using technology that is faster, cheaper and cleaner than conventional extraction. General Motors has invested in EnergyX as part of its battery supply chain strategy. Eligible investors can participate through the investor portal.
