Conflict of Interest Disclosures

[edit]

My standing COI disclosures are maintained on my user page per WP:COIUSER.

This seems like the sort of COI disclosure an LLM would generate. Care to explain? pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 20:30, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I wrote the disclosures myself. I structured them as a table for clarity after reading examples on WP:COI/N. I am curious as to why you think this is AI generated? Sparks19923 (talk) 09:42, 23 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Sparks19923! I noticed that you recently made an edit at George Frederick Vincent and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. This can include maintenance tags. Thank you! - Otherwise (Talk?) 10:05, 28 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Charles John Vincent (January 28)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by ChrysGalley was:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
There is a JSTOR reference to an obituary in The Musical Times, which is a key reference here, however the article can stand without that reference. However the reference is not correct, it goes to an unrelated article from 1932 when the subject was still alive. Page 368 in the April 1934 editor refers to concerts in Paris, and is not in the obituary section further on. Usually this is symptomatic of AI / LLM giving a hallucinated source. Can the review editor kindly find that obituary OR remove/replace that source. Otherwise it is at risk of deletion via AfD. If AI / LLM was used then this is not permitted under WP:NEWLLM.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Short descriptions

[edit]

You recently changed the short description of Legal education in the United Kingdom from "none" to "Legal education in the United Kingdom". I have changed it back. Please review WP:SDNONE before making any similar edits. — LucasBrown 19:32, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Larry Herke MDVA commissioner portrait.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Larry Herke MDVA commissioner portrait.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

WP:SDNONE

[edit]

Hello,

I noticed your recent edits to List of law schools in Sri Lanka and List of law schools in Hong Kong, where you changed the short description from "none" to "Wikipedia list article". Per WP:SDNONE, "none" is the appropriate short description here, as the titles properly convey the content of the article.

Thank you! ~ Eejit43 (talk) 15:48, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Lee Udall Bennion (February 22)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pythoncoder was:
Your draft shows signs of having been generated by a large language model, such as ChatGPT. Wikipedia guidelines prohibit the use of LLMs to write articles from scratch. In addition, LLM-generated articles usually have multiple quality issues, to include:
Please address these issues. The best way is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.
The comment the reviewer left was:
"A 1996 profile in the Salt Lake Tribune described the Bennions' lifestyle and noted that Lee had been a cover-story subject in Southwest Art magazine." OVERATTRIBUTIONCEPTION!!
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

I've revised the draft to cite the original source for the characterization rather than relying on a secondary mention from the Salt Lake Tribune.

Cherokee navbox cleanup — February 2026

[edit]

Spent some time clearing red links from {{Cherokee}} and a few related articles. Most of the new pages are start-class stubs covering Lower/Overhill/Chickamauga towns sourced primarily from Mooney (1900), Hatley (1995), and NPS documentation — Dirt Town, Talulah, Chatuga, Coyotee, Tomassee, Toxaway, Crowtown. Also created short bios for two UKB principal chiefs (John Hair, James L. Gordon) and Shonda Buchanan. These are all pretty bare-bones right now; I'll flesh them out as I dig up more sources. Did MOS/sourcing cleanup on United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians and Four Mothers Society while I was in there. Sparks19923 (talk) 00:52, 26 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Dirt Town (Cherokee town) when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you.
