Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Merrimack Warriors men's soccer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ECAC Tournament. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Ryan Martin (rugby union) did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the Talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences Editing Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:14, 7 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Typos, grammar issues and more in your edits

[edit]

Please slow down (see WP:NOHURRY) and check your content before saving. You are leaving way too many typos and grammar issues in articles you work on, with Ben Bailey and Cage the Elephant being recent examples. Further, I've noticed some degree of fan bias and writing that doesn't correspond well to provided sources. At some point, because editors get tired of having to do massive cleanups of others' work, they may begin starting discussions to remove your editing privileges. Since I'm sure you would like to avoid that, please take the time to check your work before saving. And please read WP:CIR. Stefen 𝕋ower's got the power!!1! Your submission at Articles for creation: Unleashed (Killswitch Engage song) (November 18)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Mwwv was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The song hasn't won the Grammy, only been nominated for it. Nominations do not guarantee notability. The charts also don't convince me.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
mwwv converseedits 13:01, 18 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
I totally understand your reasoning, but strictly out of curiosity what makes a song like “Love in Slow Motion” that wasn’t nominated for a Grammy and didn’t reach any charts more notable then the song I submitted. Once again not disagreeing with your points just curious. Lolcow33 (talk) 03:24, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Are you using AI?

[edit]

Here you added They are also considered one of the early pioneers and leading forces of the metalcore genre, alongside other bands such as KillSwitch Engage, Hatebreed, and Integrity. though the source you cited does not support this statement at all https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/metalcore-champions-shadows-fall-return-092620371.html Did ChatGPT shit out this statment and you just copy pasted it in? FMSky (talk) 17:30, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

No not using AI but I honestly can see why you would think that as it does seem like some shit chatgpt would throw out. I will admit that it was just kinda a trash edit on my part, I seen other bands legacy sections mention other bands that helped pioneer the respective genres (like Green Day’s legacy section) they were apart of and thought it would be good to add some of the other bigger names in metalcore in there as examples.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention I understand your skepticism and I plan on finding better sources to re work on their legacy section later today. Lolcow33 (talk) 19:29, 26 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I mean it would have definitely been a good addition, but it needs to be properly sourced 😄 FMSky (talk) 01:27, 27 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sick of It All

[edit]

Hi, it's cool that you've copied/pasted stuff I wrote about Blood, Sweat, and No Tears and Scratch the Surface into the main Sick of It All article, but you've compromised the article's neutrality in doing so. id suggest you keep stuff related to how well received it was or its impact limited to the legacy/impact sections pls. otherwise it gets in the way of things/appears to readers as lazy writing. // Chchcheckit (talk) 21:28, 23 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Lolcow33 ALSO. I see yr Lou Koller article and would also suggest that much of its content has the same issues with WP:COATTRACK (where most stuff covers things away from the main subject). That being said, given that you are copying the sources almost directly from the album articles, I am willing to send you screenshots of the Terrorizer (2011) and Decibel (2012) sources so you can evaluate them yourselves. And maybe some other stuff/articles. What you do thereafter is up to you i guess, but your passion/dedication to writing about Sick of It All/hardcore in general is apparent and I would love to help assist you in your endeavour(s). // Chchcheckit (talk) 14:32, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ultimately, I intend whatever i'm saying to be constructive criticisms/assistance, so you can do an even better job at what you're already doing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ // Chchcheckit (talk) 14:36, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hey sorry I haven’t gotten back to you sooner I do appreciate the feedback and do plan on re working some of my edits on the sick of it all page, I have just been focusing on other stuff at the moment. The Terrorizer and Decibel would also be very helpful.
Thank you Lolcow33 (talk) 03:10, 29 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sandbox

[edit]

Please note that pages in your personal sandbox, such as User:Lolcow33/sandbox, are not allowed to be filed in categories as if they were finished articles in mainspace, per WP:USERNOCAT. The page must stay out of any categories so long as it's in your sandbox, and this is not an optional or negotiable rule. Since I've had to remove the page from categories four times since you first created it, kindly do not add it to categories again. Note as well that there can be consequences for disruption if you continue to disobey this rule, such as the immediate deletion of the page and/or the temporary or permanent removal of your editing privileges. Your submission at Articles for creation: Ken Susi (January 14)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Athanelar was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
This article is massively WP:REFBOMBed, with large amounts of superfluous/redundant citations (such as for his individual producer credits and lots of overlapping coverage of him leaving the band). Trim the reflist down to the important stuff which demonstrates WP:GNG/WP:NMUSIC then resubmit.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Re: Rick Middleton

[edit]

I've reverted your recent edits on it, and here's why. I appreciate anyone putting in work on Bruins articles, but you just introduce a lot of spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation errors. It took me over an hour to debug the Gerry Cheevers article a week or so ago, and I'm not looking forward to doing so on other Bruins articles on my watchlist. So at this point I'm just inclined to revert any such edits I see that introduce more such errors. It would be really helpful if you checked your edits before saving them to keep those errors out. Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Meadowlark was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Please see WP:42 for more information on what kind of sources you need to show that your subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In particular, interviews with or sources written by the subject (or their friends, family, colleagues, etc) are not considered independent. Facebook and Discogs are not reliable sources. Reviews of his performances - with plenty of coverage of him specifically, not any band he's played with - would be very helpful.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Billboard rock charts

Hello, and thank you for your contributions, however please be aware of Wikipedia's policy surrounding the Billboard Alternative Airplay and Mainstream rock charts, at WP:USCHARTS. If a song has charted on either the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, or Rock Airplay chart, then the two former charts are not suitable for article inclusion, as they are both "component" charts of the two latter charts.
