LLM use

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Augmented Seventh. An edit that you recently made seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Augmented Seventh (talk) 04:40, 23 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Handling a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Cgrigorian. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Augmented Seventh (talk) 04:48, 23 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Cgrigorian. I came here to say the same - as you work for Calix Limited, please don't edit the article about it. Tacyarg (talk) 07:51, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Tacyarg and @Augmented Seventh, now that I've been made aware of the conflict of interest guidelines (thankyou, this is my first experience editing on Wikipedia) I understand your concern. However the original page had outdated and misleading information about the company and a wikipedia page should be factual and informative. The recent information uploaded there was purely factual with detailed citations, and does not hold any biased views. In the same way you are moderating this post, is there a way to have somebody moderate the version from 25 February to determine that it is purely factual and fit for an encyclopedia? The only aim is to have a wikipedia page which describes Calix Limited accurately and is not misleading to readers. I appreciate your efforts on this matter. Thanks Cgrigorian Cgrigorian (talk) 04:05, 26 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, you can use the request edit function, linked above, on the article's Talk page to set out the changes you want to make. These will then be flagged to other editors who can review them. Please include references to independent sources to support any new information. And please don't use AI to write any text. Tacyarg (talk) 08:24, 26 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
