Too many images
[edit]I added so many images since this is a very unknown, but important topic. to show the variety and technical skill of Arabic printing.
I didn't add all the images I uploaded to the wikimedia Tarsh category (which I think is the most comprehensive collection of tarsh prints on the Internet), just the ones which have a unique feature or aspect.
unfortunately the extremely narrow dimensions of the amulets makes them take up a lot of space, even after manually altering the size (which doesn't affect mobile)
could I just add all the excess images to the gallery at the bottom.
or perhaps make a collage format to combine multiple images into 1?
or which images do you think should be removed?

- Both a gallery and a collage would still result in too many images.
- Something I recommend: if as you say there is a lot of variety of technical skill, a good way to reduce the image count that goes with this is to create a new list page, something like 'List of technical skills in Arabic printing' and put all the pics there, one pic per item on your list. Then you can link from this page to that one and also get rid of all those pics here (maybe keep one or two as examples).
- This is what I did for a GA I did. The specific section is here. I originally had a pic of every building, it was way too much. So I made a list page and put all the pics there, then in the main article, I removed all but the three pics that I felt were best representative of them all. I chose to keep three because that's how much space I had.

- Pretty much what Gb321 said. There is no rush to do something, so mull it over. If I have any good ideas I will let you know. Definitely not collages. Srnec (talk) 02:11, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

This is indeed a fascinating topic that deserves more spotlight. Having said that, I am in the unfortunate position to quickfail (WP:QF) as it has multiple issues based on the GA criteria and IMO considerable work is required to address them all. Briefly, major issues include:
- WP:QF#3: cleanup banners (there are simply too many of them, see MOS:IMAGEREL & Less is more)
- Unsupported statements: make sure that every paragraph ends with a citation.
- Please familiarize with WP:MOS, e.g., WP:SANDWICH, WP:CITEFOOT, etc.
- Avoid single sentence paragraphs.
Once all these issues are addressed then submit it for GAN. A.Cython(talk) 18:12, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
