Welcome to the Genetic Counselor Educators Association (GCEA)

GCEA is a professional organization formed to promote collaborative interactions between individuals involved in genetic counseling graduate education and to support high standards of practice.

Originally founded in 1992 as the Association of Genetic Counseling Program Directors (AGCPD) for those in program leadership, AGCPD evolved in 2024 to become GCEA in recognition of the important roles that many individuals play in the education of genetic counseling trainees. We invite those interested in genetic counselor education to join GCEA.
