Bridge to Unity
Send a model from the Meshy web app straight into your open Unity scene, without downloading and importing the file by hand.
Before you begin
-
You need a Pro plan or higher. On the Free and Starter plans, clicking Send to Unity opens the upgrade options.
-
Install the Meshy plugin in your Unity project. For the steps, see Meshy for Unity.
Start the bridge
To start the bridge in Unity, follow these steps:
-
In the Unity menu bar, click Meshy > Bridge. The Meshy Bridge window opens, and the bridge starts. The button shows Bridge ON while the plugin waits for models from Meshy.
-
If the button shows Run Bridge, click it.
-
Optional: Clear Stand on Ground if you don't want the plugin to place each imported model on the Y=0 plane. It's selected by default.
Keep the Meshy Bridge window open while you send models. To stop the bridge, click Bridge ON, or close the window.
Send a model
To send a model to Unity, follow these steps:
-
In the Meshy web app on a computer, open the model in the viewer. DCC Bridge isn't available on mobile.
-
In the viewer toolbar, click DCC Bridge (the plug icon).

-
Click Send to Unity.

Meshy sends the model as an FBX file. The plugin saves it in a new folder in Assets/MeshyImports, named after the model, and adds it to the open scene.

With Stand on Ground selected, the model rests on the Y=0 plane.

You can send any model in your generations, whichever tool made it, except a Smart Rig result or an Ultra 4K model.

You can also send a model that another user shared in Community. Open the model, click DCC Bridge, and then click Send to Unity.

Troubleshooting
The following table lists common problems, their causes, and how to fix them.
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Meshy shows "Failed to send model to unity" | Unity isn't open, the Meshy Bridge window is closed or shows Run Bridge, another app uses port 5326, or your browser blocks access to your local network. | In Unity, click Meshy > Bridge. If the button shows Run Bridge, click it. Then send the model again. If your browser asks for local network access, allow it for Meshy. If the send still fails, close any other app that uses port 5326. |
