I’m a home design writer, renovation obsessive, and the person behind every article on Decoriety. I started this site because I believe everyone deserves a beautifully designed home — not just those who can afford a professional decorator.
My story
I didn’t go to design school. My education came from something more hands-on: a 1960s house that needed everything.
When I bought my home — a tired property with an EPC label F and decades of questionable design choices — I had no idea what I was getting into. What started as “let’s just paint the walls” turned into a full renovation: upgrading to EPC label A, adding a 56m² extension, and rethinking every single room.
That project taught me more about design than any course could. I learned that beautiful spaces aren’t about expensive furniture or following trends. They’re about understanding how you actually live, making smart choices with limited budgets, and creating rooms that feel like home from the moment you walk in.
I started Decoriety in 2024 to share everything I’ve learned — the mistakes, the discoveries, and the practical knowledge that actually works in real life.
What I write about
I’m drawn to warm, lived-in spaces — Mediterranean terracottas, Scandinavian minimalism, bohemian textures. Rooms that feel collected rather than decorated.
