Moritz Holländer hat dies geteilt€100,000 for three hires 🎯 Almedia is looking for 3 Senior Venture Leads. People who get to the core of problems quickly, have a track record of building, and take ownership from ambiguity to outcome. And we’re giving LinkedIn 60 days to find them. The referral bounty increases with every hire: Hire #1 → €20,000 Hire #2 → €30,000 Hire #3 → €50,000 Why would we do this? We built Almedia with small teams and by giving exceptional people unusually large projects. We’d rather spend €100,000 finding three exceptional people than compromise on who we build with. Know the right person? Nominate them in the comments or at referrals@almedia.co. If we hire them, you get the bounty that’s live at that moment. *Only 1 referral per person. If the same person is nominated more than once, the first valid submission counts. Referrals must be submitted during the 60-day campaign.

Wo will er hin? Wie hat sich sein Leben verändert? Warum würde er vielleicht jetzt Investoren aufnehmen? Schon noch was möglich in Europa… Pod mit Moritz Holländer jetzt live: https://lnkd.in/ddyz-i_C

Moritz Holländer hat dies repostetMoritz Holländer hat dies repostet€50,000 for introducing us to our next VP of Engineering We are looking for a VP of Engineering at Almedia / Freecash. If you refer the person we hire, we’ll pay you €50,000. Here's the person we have in mind: an engineering leader who never stopped being an engineer, who's already rebuilt how a team ships around AI, and who wants real ownership. What we're actually building is a new category. Rewards. A layer that sits on top of everything and gives people something back. We're profitable, bootstrapped, 80M+ users, $400M+ paid out to them, and growing faster than almost anyone in Europe. The bet is that in ten years we're the company that made rewards a category of its own. If someone truly exceptional comes to mind, send them our way. Personal referrals only, no agencies. Tag them or introduce us directly. Link to apply in the comments.

Moritz Holländer hat dies geteiltWe hosted our first-ever Almedia Summit last week at our Berlin HQ! We flew in ~100 clients and partners, representing $10B+ in combined yearly revenue, and spent the day discussing our vision for how we continue growing as the leader in rewarded and building even stronger relationships. Huge thanks to everyone who made the trip, to our partners, and to the whole Almedia team for making it happen! 🚀

Moritz Holländer hat dies geteiltSo happy to share this. It’s been a tough few weeks and has taken an amazing team effort to get here. 🙏 Massive thanks to everyone who worked those late nights on this and for all the support from our partners and community. We are meanwhile continuing to work with Apple on the iOS reinstatement.Moritz Holländer hat dies geteiltFreecash is back on the Google Play Store! Following a thorough review, Google has reinstated our Android app. We want to thank our advertisers, partners, and 70 million users for their patience and support during this period. Our team is continuing to work with Apple on our iOS reinstatement and we will share updates as we have them.

Moritz Holländer hat dies geteiltWe wanted to give an update about our situation since many of our users and partners have been reaching out in the past few days. As many of you are aware, our iOS and Android apps were removed this week from the App Store and Google Play following media coverage that contained a number of inaccurate and misleading claims about our business. We have been working very hard in the last years to build a company that lasts and we are actively working with both Apple and Google to resolve this as we see them as key partners for further growth. I am very grateful for all of the support and encouragement we have received from our partners and the industry. Please find my full statement with all of the details here: https://lnkd.in/d9xTV4TZ

Moritz Holländer hat dies geteiltOur iOS app was removed yesterday without any upfront notice **What we built:** Freecash is an app where users play games and earn real rewards. Our iOS App grew by 12 million new users in 2026 alone, hit top 2 in the US App Store charts for multiple weeks. Advertisers, including many of the world's top gaming studios, rely on us to engage their users. We pay out over $1M to our users every single day, our iOS App has a rating of 4.7 stars from 150k+ reviews. Both users and partners were happy. **The Backstory:** Rewarded apps have had a complicated relationship with Apple, not because anything was wrong with them, but because Apple's guidelines struggled to keep up. For that reason, apps in our category faced removals, including Freecash in the past. Over the last two years, rewarded UA went mainstream. Apps like Freecash became a core part of the user acquisition strategy for the biggest mobile games in the world, attracting millions of users, delivering real results for advertisers, and making it impossible to ignore that this was now a major pillar of the mobile ecosystem. Apple took notice. About a year ago, they updated their guidelines to reflect what the category had actually become. Since then, we have scaled up exponentially: this year alone, we have invested heavily and spent more than $100M on user acquisition across DSPs, TV, and social with the goal to grow our platform. We and the whole industry finally felt safe, so it came across surprising and frustrating that our app was just removed again without proper explanation or heads up. **Moving forward:** We are appealing via the official route to get our app back as soon as possible and working together with Apple to continue serving our users and partners. Beyond getting our app back, we want to work together with Apple to solve this permanently: for us and for the entire industry. The risk of unexpected removals creates uncertainty for everyone involved. We are here to build a long-lasting business and see Apple as a key partner in that. If you have any contact or advice, please reach out. Your help is highly appreciated!

Moritz Holländer gefällt dasMoritz Holländer gefällt das88% of VC-backed founders get nothing at exit. Imagine taking little or no salary at the start, working your ass off for years, neglecting hobbies, friends and family, often even taking major personal risks because you believe in what you’re building. And after all that, getting nothing for your shares. That’s the case for 9 out of 10 venture backed founders. Knowing those odds, I really struggle with how we treat entrepreneurs in Germany. Fail and you’re an idiot and you are being shamed. Succeed and you’re greedy and you are being attacked. How is that supposed to encourage more people to try? We should celebrate people willing to take that risk. Give them another chance when it goes wrong. And be happy for them when it works, including when they make a lot of money. That’s the culture I want us to build at The Delta and with BAD1. We need more people willing to put years of their lives into building something. Making them feel like shit whichever way it goes is a pretty stupid way to get there.

Moritz Holländer hat darauf reagiertMoritz Holländer hat darauf reagiertPretty cool one to end October with: Almedia is the #1 rewarded platform in global iOS gaming in the AppsFlyer Performance Index 2026 🚀 What I like about it: this year's ranking also looks at how much advertisers grow their spend with a partner. So it basically shows where UA teams decide to double down, and right now a lot of them are doing that with us. 21 placements across iOS and Android, 17 of them in the top 10. Still a few spots left to go after next year 😉

Moritz Holländer gefällt dasMoritz Holländer gefällt dasWelcome to issue one of Built at Almedia. In this series, we explore and celebrate the great things our team members have built. Our Art Director Wjatscheslaw Sperling had a problem: he wanted one place to find every ad creative and see how it performed. Digital Asset Management tools were expensive, and couldn't link creative to results, so he built his own. Now, 50 colleagues use it every day. “I’m a designer, not an engineer, and I was able to build this.” Got a great idea? Build something with us: almedia.co/careers

Moritz Holländer hat darauf reagiertMoritz Holländer hat darauf reagiertMoritz Holländer and I hosted a dinner on Saturday with some of Berlins best founders. Here are my main takeaways: We had Din Bisevac (Buena), Artjem Weissbeck (microagi), Viktor von Essen, M.Jur. (Oxford) (Libra), Constantin Schröder (Arbio), Jens Urbaniak (Dr. Smile), Lukas Zörner (Integral), Tim Winter (Stealth), Arne Gebert (Kombo), Daniel Drabo (Peec AI) and Dorian Gorr (LVL). Everyone was very optimistic about the future of their company. Everyone who had gone through an exit wanted to build again or had already started something new. The general sentiment was that you can make anything work from Berlin if you do it well. Yes, there are lots of problems and things we should change. No, our notary system will not stop you from building a billion-dollar company. What seemed to annoy the group the most were notice periods and working-hour regulations. Thank you for the amazing food & drinks Berlin Cuisine, Nina Jensen, Max Jensen 😍

Moritz Holländer gefällt dasMoritz Holländer gefällt dasIt’s the end of my job as I know it. Almedia just launched self-serve game campaigns. Three steps: 1. Enter your store ID 2. Set up MMP tracking (we walk you through it) 3. Pick your geos and daily caps That’s it. Our algorithm builds your iOS and Android reward structures and puts your game in front of 95M+ registered Freecash users. Watch the walkthrough below. Full rundown here: https://lnkd.in/djiQMzuQ Which means I get more time for what I like most: talking to UA teams about how rewards can help them grow, and making rewarded the biggest part of their marketing mix. So yeah, I feel fine.

Almedia has ranked #1 for revenue per employee among the 100 fastest-growing startups in DACH and CEE, generating €2.6 million per employee. The Berlin-based adtech company also leads the ranking for bootstrapped businesses and marketing and advertising technology, highlighting how efficiently it has scaled without external funding. Behind the growth is Freecash, Almedia’s flagship platform, now connecting more than 80 million registered users with games, apps, and brands through data-driven rewarded engagement. 🎙️ In this week's episode, host Kalie Moore 🔜 GDC talks with Bastian Bergmann, Co-founder & COO of Solsten, about the collision between gaming and branding, and why most companies still don’t know how to show up in games without feeling like an ad. 🌐 With 3B+ people playing worldwide and gaming still capturing only ~5% of global ad spend, Bastian argues that the opportunity isn’t awareness but audience strategy. Brands fail when they lead with stereotypes or build empty “brand worlds” instead of building experiences grounded in what players actually want. 📢 Kalie and Bastian also explore why gaming should be treated as a real conversion channel, even if measurement hasn’t fully caught up yet, and how platforms like Roblox and UEFN will be pushed toward clearer attribution as more dollars move in. 🧠 For studios and creators, the takeaway is clear: know your audience deeply, design integrations that are brand-agnostic but partnership-ready, and pitch brands with real segmentation and fit, not vague “access to gamers.” 🎧Listen to the full episode here: - YouTube: https://lnkd.in/eT_eJRVq - Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eHCE5Wy4 - Apple: https://lnkd.in/eDg94akb Check out the slides below for some of the article's topic takeaways (as determined by NotebookLM). I left Seoul uncomfortable. We had great meetings and met great teams, but in an IAP / subscription focused ecosystem, not enough attention is being paid to advertising revenue. Felix Braberg then posts about Playrix testing ads and I was compelled to write. This isn't a surprise. It isn't a single company changing gears. It is a fundamental change in mobile app economies. Here's why. PS. A more detailed write up in the blog post, first comment.

3 degrees that enable you to work at the business side of mobile gaming: When I explain people what I’m doing, they often ask me what I studied. And while I never saw a single straight vita in mobile gaming, here are the patterns in see: Finance Marketing Psychology But I think what’s most important, is: That you understand why people play. To be good with juggling numbers. Awarness off cultural differences. What do you think?

Let’s be honest, nobody likes an Ad that gets in the way (and if so, prove me wrong 😜). And that’s why rewarded traffic just works. ☑️ Instead of forcing a message on someone, you’re making a fair trade. You give them something they actually want (🕹️💵💎) and they give you a moment of their time ( 📧👀🧑💻). When the user chooses to engage, everybody wins. 🤝 Is rewarded traffic your primary growth lever this year? If so, let’s connect and chat! 💬

This episode is a crash course in launching ads the right way. Not theory. Not “best practices”. But what actually matters when you go from zero ads to meaningful ad LTV. Felix walks through: How to think about ads during soft launch Which metrics actually matter early When Unity-only is good enough (and when it’s not) How to choose mediation without overthinking it Which ad networks are worth integrating first Why AdApp-ads.txt is non-optional And the most ignored problem in monetization: aggressive end cards killing retention This is the episode you wish you watched before shipping ads. https://lnkd.in/dK6Dcxwq

I used to think ads suck. I even put it on our Techstars demo day slide #1. Everyone knows it. Skip, mute, block - half the internet is built around making ads disappear. That's fair... if the ad is an interruption. Red Bull figured out a better way a long time ago. They didn't buy interruptions. They created moments people want to be part of - stunts, events, even an F1 team(!!!) Nobody watches Red Bull content feeling like they're watching an ad. We built the same logic into mobile gaming with Monetizr. Think Red Bull-style content, but for every brand out there. A player wins a game level. Instead of an ad interrupting that win, a brand becomes part of it - the player opts in, plays through it, gets a reward. Bullish about the future of (better) advertising!
