I’m spending a wonderful few days in beautiful Oslo this week to speak at and attend the HR Norge HR Forum. In my keynote yesterday on building organisational influence with strategic HR and people analytics, I shared research from Insight222 on how to build a data driven HR function. Following that, I joined a panel with Bo Vialle-Derksen and Volker Jacobs on the future role of HR, which was skilfully moderated by Tor Haugnes. The program at the HR Forum has been exceptional with topics covering geopolitics, the second cold war, architecting the future workforce and building the future of HR with AI. I really enjoyed the sessions with Bo, Volker, and Birger Steen yesterday as well as the wonderful session this morning on how to build culture with Katarina Berg and Anne-Marie Andric (lookout for an upcoming podcast episode with Katarina in early December). It’s also been wonderful to speak with the Norwegian and Icelandic HR communities – congrats to Even Bolstad, Håvard Berntzen, Espen Langslet and the entire HR Norge team for staging such an exceptional event – and thanks to Olav Peter Hypher and Sigrún Kjartansdóttir for the wonderful conversations over dinner last night. #hrnorge #hrforum2025 #humanresources #peopleanalytics #culture #leadership #futureofwork #chiefpeopleofficer #hrtransformation
