Trae

The database extension
for Trae.

Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and 97+ other engines in a tab next to your code. And Trae's agents can reach your databases over MCP.

Install

Install DBCode in Trae.

  1. Open the Extension Store in Trae.
  2. Search for "DBCode".
  3. Click Install.

DBCode publishes every release to Open VSX at the same time as the VS Code Marketplace, so Trae gets the same version and features. Trae also supports installing from a VSIX file if you prefer.

Agent access

Give Trae's agents your database.

Trae supports MCP servers in its agents, and DBCode ships one: enable DBCode's localhost HTTP MCP server and add its URL to Trae's MCP configuration. Agents get tools to list your connections, read schemas, and run queries, so they work against your real tables instead of guessing.
