Today, with Google Cloud, we’re opening a new Sovereign Center in Brussels to support their journey. Even in governments and regulated sectors, the level of control over data, models, and infrastructure vary by use case. It’s rarely a matter of having complete control or giving it all up. This new center will enable organisations to explore and validate different sovereign AI options, helping them make the right decisions for their needs and innovate with confidence. It will support the development of sovereign AI skills, building in‑house expertise to ensure appropriate oversight. Liz McLachlan shared thisNow that our defeat in the World Series has had a few days to sink in.... thank you John Stackhouse for a thought-provoking post about our Blue Jays amazing run for the World Series Championship this year and what this taught us about Canada and grit. I had the opportunity to attend two of the World Series games and many regular season games, they brought joy, fun, and an emotional rollercoaster every single inning watched. Thank you John and thank you our Toronto Blue Jays for teaching us so much. 💙Liz McLachlan shared thisWhat the Blue Jays taught us about Canada. 🇨🇦 ⚾ Still stings. One broken bat. Forty million broken hearts. So strong was this nation’s love affair for the 2025 Toronto Blue Jays that the most wondrous October since 1972 will be remembered more for the agony of defeat than the thrill of victory. We shouldn’t let heartache prevail. The Boys in Blue (baby blue, preferably) went much further than most of us ever imagined for this squad. American League Champions, who took the mighty Dodgers to the wall (literally). Beyond the ballpark, October of ‘25 should also be remembered for what it said about us as a nation: 1. We punch above our weight Bring on the best-paid, star-studded, most glamorous team in sport, and we can handle them. Grit vs money. Grit usually wins. 2. The world actually does need Canada. The love affair for the Jays became a bit of a world thing, and not just for the perceived David v Goliath narrative. The can-do, all-in, disarmingly modest temperment of the Jays (ok, Mad Max had his moments) captured and projected something the world is in need of. Integrity. Character. Resolve. 3. We’re One Canada, when we look up Most of our divisions are puny compared to what unites us. We got a diamond-quality lesson in how we can band together when it’s the North vs Everyone Else. 4. Everyone matters What made the Jays special was not one thing. It was everything, and everyone. Batters 1 through 9, and then players 10-26. A bit like the country. A nation of unlikely heroes who can smash it out of the park, too. 5. It’s the hustle, not the hits Sure we remember the highlight reel homers, but what made the Jays was hustle, especially on defence. No ball was hit too hard or too far to make a dive for. Same for the country. It’s the little saves that are as heroic as those Hollywood swings. 6. We play hurt. And don’t fuss about it. Was there anything more inspiring than watching Bo, George and Vladdy suck up the pain, for the team? Canada is at our best when we stop whining and get on with it. The world loves that about Canada. So, too, do most Canadians. 7. Resilience is our greatest resource The rally theme was built on this team’s ability to keep coming back, no matter the situation. You just find a way. How many times have people counted Canada out? Not a country to bet against. Thank you Blue Jays. And thank you Blue Jay fans, from coast to coast to coast. You taught us what it means to be winners, as a team and as a nation. 🇨🇦

Liz McLachlan shared thisAttending Game 1 of the World Series on Friday evening was an unforgettable experience as the Toronto Blue Jays hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers at Rogers Centre (SkyDome). The positive energy and environment were incredible, marking a fantastic moment to witness history, especially since it's our first time back in the World Series since 1993. Sitting right behind the Jays bullpen, I saw the intense focus of 22-year-old Trey Yesavage warm up and strike out Shohei Ohtani, one of the all-time best players, which really got the stadium on its feet. The atmosphere was filled with high-fives, cheering, and respectful interactions among players and fans. The Blue Jays delivered an impressive performance, winning 11-4, highlighted by an exciting home run hitting spree and a Grand Slam by a pinch hitter during a thrilling inning. I take pride in living in Toronto and in Canada. With the series now tied at one game each, I look forward to watching Game 3 in LA. GO JAYS GO!

Liz McLachlan reacted on thisLiz McLachlan reacted on thisGrateful for the opportunity to be at Google Cloud Next '26 last week. I had the privilege to be on stage and had a thoughtful conversation on what it really takes to move from early AI wins to durable value at scale. Thank you to our Accenture moderator, Chetna Sehgal, and to my fellow panelists Laura Rinehart from Sysco and Dennis Seah from FairPrice Group for their real-world insights and honest discussion. A few points stayed with me: 1. To enable enterprise AI scaling, pre-AI operating model procedures need to dramatically change. The foundation matters. For me, “AI is the UI of data,” and the digital core must be rebuilt end to end—from infrastructure (training and inference), to the data supply chain, to enterprise-ready models, to APIs, and ultimately modernized apps—secure by design. 2. Value has to be intentional. Choose differentiating value chains and embed instrumentation from the start, so leaders can answer the ROI questions with confidence, beyond simple productivity metrics. 3. We need enterprise AI fluency. Talent is not a “tech-only” topic, it should be supported by modern, personalized learning approaches that uses AI to accelerate capability building and change adoption. It was a great week meeting with our partner Google Cloud, our clients, and our people. #Thankyou to the teams who worked tirelessly -- the event was well executed, and the conversations were valuable and relevant. #GoogleCloudNext #Accenture Julie Sweet, Manish Sharma, Scott Alfieri, Chetna Sehgal, Kevin Ichhpurani, Anjana Nandi, Liz McLachlan, Shivani Vora, Claudia Caldera, Sridhar Subramanian, Bill Gwinn, John Walsh, Lan Guan, Ndidiamaka Oteh, Harpreet Sidhu, Ajoy Menon, Andy Tay, Arun Khurana, Ram Ramalingam, Tony Leraris, Venkatesh G. Canada doesn't have an innovation problem. We have a sovereignty problem. We keep building our digital infrastructure on someone else's land. Respect to Microsoft, they've earned it. But the moment is calling for something different: home-grown, Canadian-owned, and built to last regardless of who's in the White House.

Canadians' relationship with work is at a turning point. Our newly released HP 2025 #WorkRelationshipIndex shows only 15 % of knowledge workers in Canada feel they have a healthy relationship to what they do, down by 8% from 2024. That sounds bleak, until you look at why the other 85% believe things could improve: 1. When employees sense their company is investing in the right tools and support, their odds of landing in the “healthy zone” more than double. 2. Among Canadians who already use AI every day, optimism about the future of work soars - even though just three in ten have that access today. In other words, we have levers within reach. Yes, technology matters but so do trust, autonomy and leadership that puts people first. Secure, intuitive AI can remove busywork and spark creativity, yet its impact depends on leaders who pair new tools with clear purpose and the training to use them. For those of us shaping workplace strategy, the brief is clear: ✔️ Invest with intent: Choose tech that adapts to how people work, not the other way around. ✔️ Scale skills, not just software: Make AI literacy as universal as email. ✔️ Lead with empathy: Use data to start conversations, not to measure output but to unlock fulfillment. The gap between potential and reality is wide, but it’s ours to close. Equipping Canadians with secure, intuitive AI and paired with the training to use it can turn technology into a source of engagement, creativity, and growth for everyone. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and as the executive sponsor of Accenture Canada’s Mental Health Employee Resource Group, I am proud to be part of an organization that prioritizes mental well-being, breaks down stigma, and fosters a sense of belonging for all. Mental health is a crucial part of overall well-being, and it’s essential that we create a supportive and inclusive environment where every employee feels valued and supported. By providing access to mental health resources, offering flexible work arrangements, and fostering a culture of open conversation, we can build a more engaged, creative, and committed workforce. Not only is this the right thing to do for our team members, but a mentally healthy team is also more productive and innovative, leading to better outcomes for our clients and our business. At Accenture Canada, we have delivered a series of mental health workshops and first aid training to our managers and employees. This training equips our team with the skills to support their colleagues and themselves, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) includes more comprehensive mental health support, such as access to mental health professionals and online tools. These benefits are in addition to confidential counseling and resources to help employees manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Moreover, we aim to set a positive example for our industry and community, proudly championing the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s Techminds and Being a Business Leader for Mental Health programs. This year, for Mental Health Awareness month, we are inviting everyone to “Reach Beyond” – beyond stigma, beyond silence, and beyond the usual spaces – to create a culture where everyone can thrive. We have a fantastic lineup of events and activities planned across for our employees across the country. Importantly, we recognize that mental health awareness cannot be a one-month effort. We run awareness campaigns throughout the year to educate our employees about mental health, provide resources, and encourage open conversations. I hope all our employees take advantage of the resources and support available. I also encourage other companies to foster a culture where mental health is a priority and where everyone feels safe and supported. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient, and more compassionate community. #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAwareness #WellBeing #ReachBeyond
