The future of work is changing fast. The ability to understand the skills people have today, identify what’s needed tomorrow, and build those capabilities will be critical for organisations and their people. With Workera joining Pearson, we’re bringing together AI-powered skills intelligence, assessment and learning to help organisations close skills gaps and help people keep moving forward. We’re excited to welcome Workera to Pearson!
#AI is already reshaping industries, occupations and ways of working. The gap between the skills organisations have and the skills they need risks becoming a real challenge. The companies that thrive will be those that can clearly understand their actual capabilities, invest in learning, and adapt quickly. That’s why I’m delighted that Pearson has agreed to acquire Workera. https://lnkd.in/ezyC5tZX Workera has built an impressive AI-native platform that helps organisations understand what their people can actually do, not just what is written on a résumé. By combining agentic AI, psychometrics, and adaptive assessment, it provides a more accurate view of workforce capabilities and helps leaders make better decisions about talent, skilling, and transformation. Together, Pearson and Workera are uniquely positioned to help enterprises diagnose skills gaps, build targeted learning pathways, and equip people with the capabilities they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. As technology evolves faster than ever, learning how to learn is becoming one of the most important skills any of us can develop. My congratulations to Kian Katanforoosh and the entire Workera team. They have built something truly innovative at the intersection of AI, assessment, and skills, and we look forward to building on that momentum together. I am very excited to see how, together, we can help people progress with opportunities for organisations and learners around the world. #Pearson #Workera #FutureOfWork #Skills #AI #Learning Vishaal Gupta Simon Robson Thomas ap Simon Allison Peek Bebo Tony Prentice Ginny Cartwright Ziegler Sharon Hague Sue Kolloru Barger Cinthia Nespoli Arthur Valentine David Treat Havana Abid Merrie Williamson

In our latest Faces of WorldSkills spotlight, Wu shares her perspective on the skill she believes matters most when preparing for an evolving workforce. "The most important skill to have, to prepare for the future, is patience. In order to learn any new craft, patience is required, so it will always be important." - Wu What's a foundational skill do you think is most important? #WorldSkillsShanghai2026 #PearsonWSC2026

Every journey is shaped by moments we don't expect. For Bettina, it was motherhood. Here is your new Faces of WorldSkills spotlight: "Motherhood changed my life. The leap was I never wanted children, so it changed it completely. It brought out elements in me which I didn’t know I had, making me a well-rounded person. The skills that motherhood gives you are a huge asset in the professional world, when it comes to having to deal with taking on perspectives that you’re not aware of or don’t agree with, but need to make sure you come to a common understanding of a path forward. That epitomizes my current relationship with my 20 year old. These days, I am more stressed about engaging with my 20 year old than speaking with my board!" What moment helped shape the person you are today? #WorldSkillsShanghai2026 #PearsonWSC2026
