The fastest-growing enterprises in our new analysis processed their first cross-border transaction on Stripe within two weeks of going live. That’s 24x faster than the enterprise baseline. Reaching that milestone sooner gives a business earlier evidence of where demand is coming from, how customers prefer to pay, and where fraud controls may need to adapt. That evidence can inform where it invests next. We studied more than 100 fast-growing enterprises across financial services, manufacturing, retail, technology, and other industries, then compared them with more than 1,000 enterprises of a similar scale. The fast-growers offered twice as many local payment methods and captured 1.6x the share of cross-border volume in Brazil, India, and Argentina.They also encountered nearly 1.8x the attempted fraud rate and were more likely to use custom fraud rules in response.
