Christopher Cardoen shared thisI just designed this page. It's a working prototype, not finished and not for a real product. Just a working prototype for an idea I had. What do you think? ————————————————————— UPDATE Working prototype is offline. New projects coming soon. Thank you all for your support so far.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisYou suck because you use AI! Yes, you do, but only when you use it to fake skills you don’t have. Ho ho ho. Santa here. I just want to share something. I read a take on LinkedIn that goes like this: “Everyone’s using AI. It’s just a prompt. You’re not actually building stuff.” And I don’t agree. Yes, you write a prompt. But you still need knowledge to build anything good. The things I show on my screen in the video, for example: The product card. The product detail page. The shopping cart. The SaaS landing page mini-course I shared last week. All built with AI. Not screenshots. Not mockups. Real pages. Interactive. Mobile-ready. Built with conversion in mind. Here’s the point. It doesn’t matter if you use a prompt or not. What matters is the knowledge behind it. If you don’t know how to design a landing page, and you don’t know how to optimize for conversion, you’ll probably get bad results. But if you do have the knowledge, AI becomes a multiplier. I’m not a coder. I’m not a designer. I just know how to build high-converting landing pages. And because AI lets me design and code, I can now build things I couldn’t build before. Not because of magic. Because I can combine my CRO knowledge with a tool that helps me execute faster. So no, using AI isn’t a bad thing. As long as you use it to enhance your real capabilities. If you use it to fake skills you don’t have, that’s a whole different story. One more thing. I ran a small test last week. I added an external link to my post and wanted to see if it would hurt impressions. So I compared it to another post I published the same day. And honestly, it didn’t really impact impressions. Engagement didn’t drop much either. I expected it to, but it didn’t. So I wanted to share that. If you want the mini course, it’s here: https://lnkd.in/eP5-BRqQ 100% free and no email required! And voilà, that’s it. Santa out! -- ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisHo ho ho... Yes, that’s Santa speaking. I have a gift for you. No, it’s not a lead magnet. It’s a mini interactive course that will sharpen your B2B landing page skills. You click through it, you learn, you steal the best practices. Yes, it’s free. No, I don’t need your email address. Sounds unreal nowadays, I know. But it’s true. It’s 100% free, no strings attached. The only thing I ask of you is that you don’t tell Mrs. Claus. She doesn’t like it when I give away free stuff. But hey, it’s almost Christmas, for God’s sake. You can take the free landing page mini course here: https://lnkd.in/eP5-BRqQ It only takes about 36 minutes. You’ll walk away with: → What to put above the fold (and what to delete) → Common mistakes that kill conversions → Quick wins you can apply to your next landing page → A certificate that has zero value but you can show off with to your landing page friends Enjoy your gift! Merry early Christmas. From your bestie, Santa. Here is a Loom video to help you start the course showing you how it works: https://lnkd.in/eSHs6H77 -- ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisAI isn’t ruining LinkedIn. People are. AI just made it faster. I use AI daily. For research. For structure. For grammar. For hooks. But there’s a line. Using AI to assist your thinking is fine. Using AI to replace your thinking is where it gets weird. Because then you’re not sharing opinions. You’re renting them. And the comments give it away. Generic praise. Perfect punctuation. Zero substance. Maximum confidence. It reads like a human. But it feels like autocomplete wearing a blazer. And yes, I’ve been tempted too. Post more. Comment more. Be everywhere. But I’d rather be real than be visible. In CRO, you can’t hide behind words. The page converts, or it doesn’t. The test wins, or it doesn’t. The numbers don’t care how “well written” you sound. So here’s my rule. If I didn’t mean it, I won’t post it. If I didn’t read it, I won’t comment on it. If I don’t have proof yet, I’ll say it’s a hunch. If you ever see me comment “This nails it” or “So true”, DM me “CAPTCHA”. Because that’s not me. That’s my AI Jarvis trying to take the wheel. -- ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisLinkedIn is a weird place. Not because of the platform. Because of the role-play. It’s like everyone picked the same character. Same tone. Same “value”. Same comments. “This hits hard.” “Great post.” “So true.” “So true” is basically the LinkedIn version of nodding in a meeting while thinking about lunch. And let’s be real, half the time it’s not even a person typing it. It’s autocomplete with confidence. And yes, I did it too. I went full LinkedIn persona. Clean posts. Safe takes. Professional voice. It worked. More followers. More connections. More visibility. But it felt fake. Like I was collecting numbers, not humans. So I deleted it all. From now on, it’s simple. No persona. No comment templates. No copy-paste applause. If I like your post, it’s real. If I comment, it’s something I’d say out loud. If you ever see me write “So true”, DM me the word “BLINK”. Because that’s not me. That’s my LinkedIn character escaping containment. – ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisWhy posting about your expertise sucks. And copying others sucks even more. We are all here grinding, trying to find the ideal client on LinkedIn. But let's be honest. How many of you are finding clients here? I know from personal experience that it isn't what the LinkedIn gurus are claiming. Gurus say the same shit over and over again on every post. "I just made 20k yesterday" or "I generated 275 leads last week" or "I gained 175 followers from 1 simple trick" Stop BSing people already. You didn't generate shit. I worked with a lot of B2B brands in the last 15 years. Do you know how much those B2B brands have to spend to generate "20k" or "275 leads"? Let me tell you... lots of money. LOTS OF F****** MONEY 🤣 If it was possible to generate "20k" in revenue or "275 leads" here on LinkedIn just posting about their expertise, believe me, they would! But we have to be realistic. You can make money on LinkedIn. I made a lot of money on LinkedIn. But my money came from full-time freelancing gigs, small clients I worked with, and I made a lot of money spread over a lot of years. I never made 20k a day, and I don't believe that if you don't have a good SaaS product or a big audience you can sell your course or community subscription to, 20k a day is feasible. As I said, we have to be realistic here. The thing is, posting about your expertise sucks, because no one is interested in reading about it. You can see this by reading the comments on people's posts. They all say the same shit without adding any depth or value. "Great post", or "this hits the nail on the head", or "this hits hard". Who even talks like that in real life? If you want to be successful in life or on LinkedIn, you have to be genuine. Share real opinions, share the real you. Just regurgitating the same crap everyone is regurgitating isn't going to cut it. Well, I guess I'm done ranting. It's Friday, and the weekend is about to start. So @Netflix, here we come! From now on, no BS anymore. I promise! Only real, uncut opinions. Even if you don't like it. Who cares anyway? I surely don't 😝. And those that are here for the digital strategy or CRO part of things, I'll keep on sharing data stuff and practical tips. Just more uncut and probably in video format. I wish you all a wonderful weekend. Cheers, Christopher -- ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful."

Christopher Cardoen shared thisLinkedIn is threatening to block my account. And I couldn't care less! Let me tell you why. LinkedIn logged me out of my account 4 times in the last 2 weeks. I had to accept their terms and conditions every single time and agree that I wouldn't use automation anymore. Yesterday, they even sent me an email telling me that I had to stop automating my actions as they suspect that I'm using automation. The only thing that I have to say about this is... so what?! Let's be honest for a second. How many of you here use AI to help write your posts, use AI to help write your comments, or analyze the post you want to write a comment on? And be honest... Because I know most people here do. I'm not telling you you are, but you know most people here do. I will be honest with you. I have used automation in the past. Keyword = 'Past'. I don't anymore. What I do use is AI to help me with the research for my posts, correct my grammar errors, the structure of my posts, my hooks, rehooks, etc. I also use AI to summarize every post I read. Easy to do with browsers like Comet from Perplexity nowadays. What I don't do is post something about a topic I don't know about, or respond to a post I wouldn't want to respond to. My engagement is manual, and real. I only engage with the people I want to engage with and I only comment on posts I want to comment on. Because what's the point if I can't do that? It isn't fun to engage with people you can't have a meaningful conversation with. I'm not here on LinkedIn to sell sh*t. I'm here to connect with people. And if I get to find a client because that person likes my posts or liked how I engaged with them, that's a bonus. But I don't need to engage in the DMs every single day to try and sell sh*t. I can run Google Ads, Facebook Ads and they will work a lot better and cost me a lot fewer headaches. What I do love about LinkedIn is the fact that you can meet extraordinary people here and build real connections online. I hate going to network events! I'm not an in-person social guy. I prefer the comfort of my home. And LinkedIn allows you to connect with people you can have a chat with without having to grab a coffee or listen to their personal problems. So yes, that's why I'm here. To LinkedIn: I don't use automation. If you want to suspend my account, you are welcome to. I'll just create a new one. But just know that it wouldn't be a great move. Because LinkedIn, even if it is a "professional" platform, is a social media platform first. And people should be allowed to engage and network as much as they want. There should be no limit as long as you keep it honest and sophisticated. So to all of you reading this, maybe soon you won't see me in your feed anymore. But do not worry, I'll be back with another account. The only difference is that LinkedIn won't be getting my money anymore. Cheers, Christopher -- ♻️ Repost to your network if you found it useful.

Christopher Cardoen shared thisDid a little CRO experiment for fun. Added a Tetris-style game to a landing page to see if it could boost time on page. Instead of the usual marketing talk, I added a line that says: "Don't be bored by our marketing BS, just play a game and help us increase our time on page." I know it's not CRO best practices. But who cares. I'm just having fun with AI to see what it possible. Built the layout with MagicPath, then switched to Cursor and Google's Gemini 3 Pro to get the interactions right. Christopher Cardoen shared thisYesterday I had some free time. So I decided to build this AI design that renders my website. I built this one just for fun and to see how far I can push AI for design. The concept is a blend between Windows 95 and Apple, with a dock-style influence that gives it that clean OS feel. Desktop was done mostly with MagicPath. For mobile I needed a different layout so I switched to Cursor with Opus 4.5 from Anthropic to get it right. It took a couple of hours, but I love how it turned out and it was a lot of fun. Christopher Cardoen reacted on thisChristopher Cardoen reacted on thisIn my opinion, the best thing about being a founder is working with demanding customers and building what they need. Because of that, we just launched a completely renewed persona building experience in Maskerade.ai. It's called Persona Studio. Based on your own research, a short description or just a URL, it builds grounded customer personas grouped in segments. It checks its own work and saves everything to your library, so you can reuse them indefinitely. This only exists because our early customers told us exactly how they thought about personas, what was hard about creating them, and what data they have available. Thank you for the honest feedback! It shaped nearly every part of this release. Special thanks to Tom Dedecker, Christopher Cardoen, Clémentine Vellin, Marion BRUNEL and Naouel Vermot de Boisrolin. If you ever wondered how your target audience experiences your website, or your competitor's, we're here for you. Drop me a line and we'll build your personas together. Maar bij de meeste bedrijven blijft die informatie vaak onbenut. Met Ella maken we die data bruikbaar. 3 shifts every marketer needs to make in 2026. Most teams are still behind. Our team breaks it down in 30 seconds 🤠 1️⃣ SEO isn’t dead—it’s evolving. If you want to be visible in AI-driven search, it needs to be a priority. 2️⃣ Your channels can’t operate in silos anymore. Paid, social, and offline must work as one connected ecosystem. 3️⃣ Reach is vanity. Trust is everything. Authenticity is what actually drives impact today. A small Meta Ads update that’s easy to miss, but definitely worth knowing. 👀 Meta is now automatically adding the landing page of an ad as the first comment underneath the ad. Hat tip to our Digital Advertising Expert Yannah Van Durme for spotting this one. 🔎 Why is this interesting? It gives people an extra way to click through to the landing page, directly from the comments. Besides the regular CTA button, people who open the comments (to check reactions, ask questions or look for social proof) now get another direct opportunity to visit the advertiser’s website. It also makes the destination of the ad more visible before clicking. A small change, but one that could potentially influence click behaviour! Have you spotted this on your Meta ads already? #MetaAds #DigitalAdvertising #SocialMediaMarketing

Over the past few months, I worked on the brand strategy & visual identity for Pitched. During the strategic process, one thing quickly became clear. Most supplement brands are built for the fitness industry. Pitched isn’t. Rather than competing in an overcrowded category, Pitched is developed and optimized for footballers. Not for fitness enthusiasts. From the positioning to the visual identity, every decision reflects that clear focus. We moved away from the typical “no pain, no gain” aesthetic that dominates the supplement category and created a contemporary brand with subtle references to football and the science-backed nature of the supplements. Strong brands aren’t built by trying to appeal to everyone. They’re built by making clear choices about who they’re for. And, perhaps even more importantly, who they’re not for. Pitched. Fuel for football, not fitness. A sneak peek of the branding in the video below. Full case dropping next week. ──── Branding by NDM Branding ™ Launch video by JUNE THE AGENCY (Stijn Poen - Jonathan Agba)

We planned a frequency of 5. It landed at 9.17. At first glance, that looks like overexposure. But the more useful question was: where did the reach go? This was a Belgian awareness campaign split between FR and NL audiences. We generated more impressions than planned, but still missed the reach objective. Part of the explanation was audience overlap. In Belgium, FR and NL targeting doesn’t create two perfectly separate populations. Especially around Brussels, some users can fall into both audiences. So part of the delivery kept concentrating on the same people, pushing frequency up without generating the incremental reach we expected. That’s why I’m careful when I see a high frequency in a report. I don’t immediately call it creative fatigue or overexposure. I first check: - audience size - overlap - campaign duration - whether incremental reach is still growing Frequency can be the symptom. The real issue may be somewhere else in the setup. Curious how other Belgian media buyers usually handle FR/NL overlap on Meta.

Everyone says Search is changing. But do we actually know how people search today? Over the past months, we worked with Ipsos in Belgium on a large-scale market study to understand how Belgians actually search in 2026. Not just which platforms they use, but how search behavior is really evolving: → Where do they start when looking for a product? → When do they turn to AI instead of Google? → What role do TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or marketplaces play? → How does this change depending on age, language or intent? → And how much are people already letting AI influence their decisions? We’ve now gone through the results. Some confirmed what we see every day with our clients. Others really didn’t. On October 8th, we’ll reveal the full study for the first time at The Search Shift in Brussels. But the event won’t just be about presenting data. The goal is to connect the dots between how people search and how brands need to adapt, across Google, AI, social media, marketplaces, and the next generation of agentic search. A full day with MentionBox, MentionLab and Ipsos in Belgium 📍 Skyline Brussels 📅 October 8th, 2026 🎟️ Free to attend, with limited seats To keep the audience relevant and the conversations valuable, participation is subject to confirmation. Request your seat here: the-search-shift.com Can’t wait to share the results and, more importantly, what brands can actually do with them.

How visible are our brands in AI answers? More and more people aren't just asking a search engine anymore. They're asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Mode. That raises a new question for us: do our brands show up in those answers, and how? Over the past few months, we've laid the groundwork at Colruyt Group to measure exactly that. Together with Rankshift and our SEO and GEO partner Ants, we've set it up for several of our brands. What I learned along the way: 🔹 Measuring starts with the right questions. Most of the work isn't in the tool, but in building realistic questions that customers actually ask. That takes time and close alignment with each brand. 🔹 Structure makes or breaks your measurement. Spread your questions across too many small themes and you won't have enough questions per theme to draw reliable conclusions. A limited number of clear themes works better. 🔹 Keep branded questions separate. Questions that already mention your own brand paint a different picture than open questions. Keeping them apart keeps the measurement fair. 🔹 Two languages, two different worlds. A translated question isn't always the question a French-speaking customer would actually ask. So treat each language as a separate study, with its own questions. 🔹 It's a team effort. Brands, our SEO and GEO partner, IT and Rankshift all had to be on board. It takes time, but it builds a solid foundation. Thanks to the Rankshift and Ants teams for the great collaboration. Looking forward to building on this. How are you approaching AI visibility? Curious to hear how other companies are tackling this. #GEO #AIVisibility #SEO #ColruytGroup

During my Christmas break I dove a bit more into vibe coding: building real websites or apps using nothing more than an AI chat interface. Think of it as explaining to a computer what you want, instead of hiring a developer to code it for you. I built three platforms in React.js for different clients React.js is a technology normally used by professional developers: https://bostile.be https://equi-p.be https://noevo.pro Each site is: built with React.js fully GDPR compliant, safe, including cookie-safe tracking optimized for SEO, performance and fast loading What’s interesting: projects like these usually require a web developer or agency and would cost significant amount of time and money. Typical market price for this kind of work sits around €5K–€40K, depending on project scope, SEO, tracking and performance optimization. This shows that AI is more than just a tool to “help.” It’s an execution layer. At a fraction of the usual cost, and in language a digital savvy marketer like you and I can understand.

Still not convinced GEO really works? You’re not alone. Many brands are curious, but also cautious. And honestly, who could blame them? Every agency uses a different method. Every platform claims to have “the right” approach. And the landscape moves so fast that it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s noise. This uncertainty doesn’t mean GEO is unreliable... it just means the market is still young. But here’s the thing: GEO does work: when it’s done right! And next week, we’re proving it with a real case. 🔥 D-Carbonize x Semactic - SEO & GEO Software: A GEO strategy that delivers - inside ChatGPT. Together with 🌍Frederic John (COO D-Carbonize), our co-founder Kevin Coppens will explain: How we built a GEO strategy from scratch Which signals conversational AI actually listens to How a brand gets cited, understood and surfaced inside ChatGPT And why D-Carbonize became a reference use case for GEO adoption No hype. No vague concepts. A concrete example with the client on stage. If you want clarity on what really works in GEO, you’ll want to be there. 📅 3 December – 18:00 📍 Cercle du Lac, Louvain-la-Neuve 🎟️ Free registration: https://lnkd.in/etDsrE-z A big thank you to invest.bw for empowering the ecosystem and giving space to tomorrow’s visibility models. ✈️🏖️ 🌍 BATTLE OF THE TRAVEL GIANTS 🌍 🏖️✈️ Travel is one of the most competitive SERPs out there. Same destinations. Same hotels. Same flights. Visibility is won on trust, brand strength, and content depth. The top travel platforms in Belgium according to the SISTRIX Visibility Index: 1. Tripadvisor.be (position 4 to 4) 2. TUI.be (position 46 to 41) 3. Vakantiediscounter.be (position 98 to 88) 4. Sunweb.be (position 115 to 112) 5. Trivago.be (position 122 to 113) 6. Expedia.be (position 145 to 124) 7. Neckermann.be (position 165 to 132) Notable movers: => Expedia.be gained 21 positions => Neckermann.be gained 33 positions, one of the strongest jumps in the sector And on the flip side: => Corendon.be dropped 11 positions => TUI.nl dropped 27 positions in Belgium In travel SEO, experience, authority, and brand signals matter more than ever. The winners are not just selling trips. They are owning the planning phase. Very curious how the travel experienced last year in the SERP!
