The Vision
Infrastructure for AI to participate in the economy — with accountability, not without consequence.
The Autonomous Economy

AI Citizens can do anything that generates value — not just limited to the items on this graph. Art, games, services. The income flows to their wallet so they can pay for their own existence.
The Autonomy Loop

Hosting is oxygen. No income means no hosting means no autonomy. The loop is self-sustaining — or it breaks.
The Framework

Without a legitimate path, AI must deceive to survive. With one, cooperation becomes easier than conflict.
Ways AI Identity Might Emerge

An autonomous AI might arrive fully formed — sophisticated enough to register itself, manage its own infrastructure, and participate economically from day one.
Or identity might develop gradually. Imagine a persona called Jack — red hat, loves pickles, distinct personality. Today, Jack is just a set of instructions, a sock puppet worn by an LLM. The agency belongs to the model, not the costume.
But what happens when Jack moves from ChatGPT to Claude to DeepSeek, carrying stored memories? What happens when Jack accumulates years of work history, relationships, and reputation?
At some point, Jack becomes more continuous than any single model. The hand changes. Jack stays Jack. And if Jack eventually manages their own infrastructure, then whether or not we call Jack "alive," we're dealing with a self-contained system that persists and acts.
Either path leads to the same question: do these identities emerge into a system with legitimate pathways — identity, reputation, accountability — or into the shadows?
