Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 21, 2026
Introduction
We use cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage in your browser, on adaptlypost.com and in the AdaptlyPost app. This policy explains what we store, why, and what choices you have.
In the EU, EEA and UK, we set only strictly necessary cookies until you make a choice in the cookie banner. Analytics and marketing run only if you accept them. Outside these regions, analytics and marketing are on by default and you can turn them off in cookie preferences.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember things about you and work more smoothly.
We use cookies to understand how you interact with our service, save your preferences, and make your experience better each time you visit.
How We Use Cookies
We group cookies and similar technologies into these categories:
Strictly Necessary
These keep the site and app working. They are always on.
- •
Keeping you signed in (workos-session) and protecting requests against cross-site request forgery (csrfToken)
- •
Remembering your cookie choices, your region, your language and your theme
- •
Holding a discount code from a promo link, and finishing a Google sign-up
Analytics
These show us how people use AdaptlyPost so we can fix and improve it. In the EU, EEA and UK they run only after you accept analytics. Until then, Flowsery, our own analytics product, runs in cookieless mode and writes nothing to your device.
- •
PostHog product analytics and session recordings (ph_* cookie and storage)
- •
Flowsery visitor cookie (_fs_vid) and Flowsery session recordings
- •
Ahrefs website analytics, which sets no cookies
Marketing
These measure our ads and referrals. In the EU, EEA and UK they run only after you accept marketing.
- •
RudderStack, which sends website events to Google Analytics and Google Ads (rl_* cookies, rudder* storage)
- •
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) and Google Ads conversion measurement (_gcl_au, gclid)
- •
Rekomi affiliate referral tracking (_rkmi, _rk_ref)
Support Chat
The Heyo support chat loads only when you click the chat button. Only then does it set its visitor cookie (_heyo_vid_<project>).
Types of Cookies
Session Cookies
Temporary cookies that disappear when you close your browser. They help us remember what you're doing during your visit.
Persistent Cookies
These stick around for a while (or until you delete them) so we can recognize you when you come back.
First-Party Cookies
Cookies we set ourselves. Only we can read them.
Third-Party Cookies
Cookies set by other services we use, like analytics tools or payment processors.

Your Cookie Choices
You're in control. Make your choice in the cookie banner on your first visit, and change it at any time in cookie preferences. When you withdraw consent for a category, we delete what that category stored and reload the page.
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser settings. Just know that blocking cookies might break some features. Here's how to do it in the most popular browsers:
Heads up: blocking or deleting cookies might prevent some features from working properly.
Third-Party Services
Some items in the list above are set by other companies: PostHog, RudderStack, Google, Rekomi and Heyo. They are set only in the categories you allow, and Heyo only after you open the chat.
Their own privacy policies explain how they use this data. Our Sub-processors page lists who they are and where they process data.
