Overview
Urban and summery rooftop brasserie, set on top of Galeries Lafayette.
For one of the best outlooks in Paris, head up to the rooftop of the Galeries Lafayette department store. Eight floors up, this 1 500m2 terrace offers a really impressive 360° view over Paris, with the Opera House in close range and the Eiffel Tower as the stately backdrop.
But not only about views, the terrace also holds a creative rooftop bar and restaurant called Balcon Paris, taking over from Créatures Paris in 2026.
While a 'new' venue in name, a lot is similar to before: just as with Créatures, Balcom is run by Chef Julien Sebbag. But instead of a 100% vegetarian menu, you can now indulge in vibrant and fresh French cuisine, with a focus on beloved brasserie-style dishes.
The food is served daily as brakfast, lunch and dinner, and in between or after you can also enjoy some refreshing drinks from the cocktail bar. Here you find signature creations focusing on herbs and plants, but also a nice selection of wine, champagne and juices.
Open from around early May to mid-October, Balcon rooftop blends a relaxing summer vibe with a large hint of Parisian trendiness. Given the location, this is of course the perfect spot for a break in a day filled with shopping, even though it works just as well for a day- or night time visit without any purchases. Open-air, lush and charmigly whimsical in setting, this feels like a Parisian neighborhood bistro up in the sky.
