SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 7 November 1942 as PC-1362 by the Peyton Co., Newport Beach, CA
  • Reclassified SC-1362 and launched 24 April 1943
  • Commissioned USS SC-1362, 6 September 1943
  • Transferred to the Coast Guard 8 February 1946 and commissioned USCGC Air Warbler (WAVR 477)
  • Struck from the Naval Register 8 May 1946
  • Sold 19 January 1948
  • Fate unknown.

  • Draft 6' 6"

  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, two .50 cal. machine guns, two depth charge projector "Y Guns," and two depth charge tracks
